I would first like to say this calculator could have been the best calculator, opposing the battery powered ti 84. But undoubtedly this calculator is a failed product. I bought this not knowing that one day a year later I wouldn’t be able to use it any more. I had not used the calculator over the summer and it died of battery. Upon plugging it in it became evident that it was stuck in an infinite loop of “validating OS” turns off, then turns back on. Then “validating OS” turns off, then turns back on. Then “validating OS” turns off, then turns back on. I kept it on charge for over 10 hours and it stayed in this loop. I went to the support forums and found a way to get a replacement battery since this is a “known issue” I have not heard back from Texas Instruments and am waiting to see if I ever receive that replacement battery. DO NOT BUY THIS CALCULATOR IF YOU WILL LEAVE IT UNUSED FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. Opt in for the battery powered ones.

We got this calculator for our 8th grader. He has not yet touched it as school has just finished. However, I am setting the calculator up with his computer and I am loving its features, capabilities and looks. Our child has low-vision and the fact that he can use it online on his computer, enlarged, is a plus.

This is such a reliable calculator. We needed a new one after the one my son had had for 4 years went through the washing machine :/ They are reliable, take a beating and the battery life is great. Don't cheap out on this.

I had never used this type of calculator and recently went back to college and was required to take a college math course. I am so happy I borrowed this model and was amazed by how easy it was to use. Some of the functions took me a few minutes to figure out but was very happy with it and decided to purchase one for myself. It arrived within two days with Amazon Prime.

I teach statistics, and use the TI calculators all the time. Mostly I use a TI-84. Unfortunately, it doesn't always show up on the overhead projector very well. For that reason, and to have a spare for students who forget theirs, I decided to buy the new back lit version. The difference on the overhead is amazing! This shows up great. Not only that, the graphs look much nicer than on the old one, and it has a few additional features that the old one doesn't. Considering that this was marked down due to package damage, I got a good price on it as well. I really didn't see that much damage to the package, but I sure did love the price!Only one caveat - the calculator doesn't seem as robust as the older models. It is nice and light though, so I suppose that's a trade-off. I didn't think the blue was quite as pretty in real life as it is in the picture, but I didn't buy it for looks, so that's fine with me.

This was great. It was everything I expected and is fantastic quality. Looks great, charges fast, and holds a charge for a very long time. I'm a college student taking a lot of math classes with my major so I use this quite frequently but only have to charge it roughly every 3-4 weeks. The full color backlit display is a huge plus also! Love this calculator.

Well constructed and good quality up-to-date calculator approved by my son's High School Math teacher. The color graphing is much easier to see and the processing speed is faster than it used to be with the older color graphing models. Also, it is great to be able to choose a different color calculator for ease of identification. A definite thumbs up!
