Last year I bout a complete set of 12 of matte black silverware. Not even a year later they are all scratched. I bout these as a replacement because they are black stainless steel. They are shiny black not matte. I absolutely love them and they are holding up nicely.

Very disappointed, the black stainless color chipped off on all the pieces of silverware owned 14 months, still use them, but they look terrible... So it's not true black stainless there just painted..
