I never thought the rain chain might blow around until I saw it happen. This anchor is made of heavy strong black color coated metal. The chain is strong as well but not long enough to reach from the bottom of my rain chain to the ground. My roof edge is taller than usual. I had to add some other chain to it, but that wasn't difficult to do and now it anchors my rain chain well. No more blowing around against the house.

I just learned about rain chains and I have no gutters so they are going to be my solution. But with rain comes wind and so the rain won’t exactly stream through as it swings back and forth is storming hard. This anchoring stake is the solution to holding the rain chain where it belongs. The anchor is very heavy and there is plenty of chain to reach up to the bottom of the rain chain itself. Excellent quality.

This rain chain anchor is well-made and sturdy. The stake is solid, pretty heavy metal with smooth edges and a nice powder-coated finish. Should do a good job withstanding all kinds of weather. The chain isn’t quite as sturdy, but seems sufficient to the task (also powder-coated). Inserts easily into the ground - but also comes out easier than I expected. (Maybe the ridges on the sides are too smooth and/or not jagged enough?) I expect that it will still do the job of holding my (not too heavy) rain chain steady - though I am looking forward to testing it out in some strong windy days! FYI, depending upon your rain chain, you may need some kind of hook or carabiner to attach the anchor’s chain to the end of your rain chain.

Our rain chains are very long and touch the ground (so we didn't need the chain that comes with the stake). They end in bushy flower beds, so, when it rains lightly, both rain chains do fine. But when a hard-pouring storm comes, the stream coming down the steep roof and into the gutters forms pushes the chains in an outward bow that causes the water to arc out onto the ground, often digging holes. The stake gives me control and solves that movement problems. I was surprised how strong and long the stake is. I watered the area the day before so the stake would go in easily, and because it's so long, it's in solid.

I have four different rain chains and they’ve all been blowing in the wind when it rains, which kind of makes them useless. This anchor, though, is exactly what I needed! It securely holds the rain chain in place and allows the rain to flow down the chain, just like it’s supposed to. Now I need three more!

I have a rain chain that dances in the wind whenever it rains. I've tried different ways of keeping it secure, but that usually means I have to go get wet outside.I've just attached this anchor to my rain chain. It has a flexible length. I was able to find a length that worked for me. I'm really excited that I won't have to go outside to get drenched to secure it.Great invention!

If you are installing your own rain chain (because they are cool) you are going to need this piece. It holds the bottom of the rain chain to the ground so the chain doesn't bang around in windy weather. This one is sturdy, with a strong metal stake and a short section of chain to attach to the bottom end of your rain chain. I have been happy with how easy it was to install and how well it kept the chain in check.
