This is cheap alloy aluminum. I had shop installe new skag and it fell off first run. I understand that’s on welder but cheap alloy is hard to weld to. Ordered new myself and it’s the same. I suggest you pay close attention to the type of aluminum your getting. To big of process to go cheap here.

Well, it welded fine. Bought an OMC skeg for a Yamaha outdrive (good luck with that one) welded fine trimmed it case closed!

waited forever for this piece and after a couple months they told me they were sorry but the product was no longer available . But then miraculously , the very next day it was available again at a higher cost and was shipped to me in 2 days .... wow
