Unlike the old hook-and-loop straps, they will not get hung up in fish hooks, they will not lose their hold when wet and they will not fade out. Gunwale mount and deck mounts styles are available. With both styles the straps stretch over rods and hook into a loop mounted on the deck.

Seems like the ones that other retail stores sell are not as flexible as they used to be and they keep breaking. These are a softer rubber. We'll see how long they hold up.

I needed a second strap for my boat and wanted a strap that would match what I had. These were perfect! These are much more durable then the normal bungee cord ones. And they can in fact be altered with little to no effort from a size perspective. I had to cut one down to match my other strap and it was a breeze to do! Don’t pass up on these because you think they can’t be altered to fit your needs!

Last one was on my boat for 7 years. Won't go without one since I first used it. Perfect solution for keeping the rods securely on the deck while zipping to the next stop. Getting another for the back deck now so my friends can strap their rods down too. Cheaper, and easier to install and manage than the big wide straps, IMO anyway.

I’m sure it will work fine, however like others have said the title and description is very miss leading. It does say straps, and it’s for one which I knew because I read the reviews. My issue is it states 14” and I received a 12”. A lot of bait n switch going on with this one.

So simple but don’t think I could survive without them now. Keep my rods locked down tight so I can run ‘er hot with confidence in the rough stuff. Flexibility in installation location is great, looked at the retractable buckles as the retractable feature is nice but they are not very aluminum boat friendly. These are great, highly recommended!

Works as described. I used a metal clamp to attach the hook to. The original one is plastic and looks like it would break over time if stepped on when walking around the boat

Great little rod holder but DO NOT make the same mistake as me and attempt to drill screw while bunjee is under tension, it will break the plastic ring.

These rod holders worked very well on my fishing boat. I installed two of them straight on the deck with no mess or fuss.They have strong plastic retainers, and the cord is made of solid rubber. This solid rubber cord will help keep mold from developing on the cord like what happens with bungee cords since those are made of fabric and strands.The screws are strong and the heads did not strip out when I drove them in with my drill. It comes with the proper screws too: 2 countersunk screws for the hook loop, 1 button head screw for the cord retainer.
