This item was a direct replacement for my damaged collet. I pushed a Bosch Colt 1.0 HP router a bit hard and managed to break the collet portion that grips the bit shaft. I used this purchased part and the hand router and bit now worked fine.

Twice I had bits walk out of this collet and damage the piece I've been working on. I rolled up some sand paper and roughed up the center a little and it seems better but I'm not sure if I trust it yet.

I guessed correctly, after spending hours trying to figure out which one to order. This was cheap, quickly shipped, and works 10 times better than the OEM collet. I was having to tighten it to the point where I was concerned about bending the router! Now, itโs EZPZ. Every Octane router should have its collet swapped out with this one.
