I was only able to use the M4 tap once ... The rest were not good. They were damaged immediately, maybe because I tried to use them on hard metal but still ... Lowes tap lasted more and did a better job

Do not buy this tap and drill bit set. The drill bits are extremely brittle. I broke one and nearly ruined my project trying to remove the bit. The taps are literally to soft to cut mild steel. I could not get the tap to cut threads. I bought a name brand set local and I was done in 2 minutes. This set is not good.

They are great for the amount spent. Better quality production than I was expecting for an affordable tap. I’m only tapping things for basic metric sizes bolts from assorted bolt kits. So for standard basic threads it’s very durable very accurate. I haven’t had any issues tighten bolts or starting bolts. This kit allowed me to acquire all the sizes I need at an affordable price which is really helpful because it has done an excellent job I even ran some of the taps with the drill and had no issues.

the 8mm tap doesn't really fit into the handle, in that you cannot tighten the handle well enough to still be secure when you are done with the job. The lever bar could be a bit more snug, it doesn't stay put. The lever is also quite small, which maybe implies it isn't a good choice for extruded aluminum. A lever twice the length seems like a better fit for the job. I used a long screwdriver, which worked much better. It is however, inexpensive.
