The THAW Heated Sock Cover is simply amazing.I am an avid hunter and fisherman, but I have poor circulation and even in the Spring months my feet get cold - when my feet get cold, I am done - headed to the warm indoors.As stated in the description, these sock covers are intended to go over your normal every day socks - the covers are of a very thin, "slick" material (kinda like dress socks) so you don't really notice a thickness increase when pulled over your socks.Some of my socks I wear are thicker than others, so if I wear the thinner socks with these sock covers, I can somewhat notice the wires inside the sock covers, with the thicker socks I did not have this issue with. I would definitely recommend not wearing dress socks with these sock covers.Battery life is great - I can turn them on low at 6am and still have warm feet after lunch, so no complaints there. The location of the battery pack is in a very comfortable place on my leg, and is barely noticeable when wearing, even when I have my chest waders on.Sizing of the sock covers seems to be on the "too big" side for me. I wear a mens size 7 and chose the medium which is supposed to be mens size 5-8.5 - the heal of the sock cover ended up well above my ankle.Now - 1 issue I had was figuring out how batteries fit onto the sock covers (maybe just my poor eye sight?) - the included instructions only tell you how to turn the socks on and how to charge the batteries. Under the control button is a very hard to see pouch that contains the sock cover plug to connect the battery. Pull it out, plug into the battery, and slip the battery into the pouch.Now that I have figured everything out - these sock covers are amazing.
