After a few pops, let the bug sit again for a few seconds. A hard strike will often follow your popping/resting action.

They’re weedless which is nicethey get a lot of strikes at them but you don’t seem to actually hook the fish.

Really like the action of these bass bugs and as another reviewer mentioned, they coax a lot of strikes. The problem is that the gap (gape) of the hook is too small; the fish don't get hooked. A different hook with a wider gap and they'd be 5 star.
