Bought in 2020 and have used in a garage to free up space near the power outlet. Functionally the clip works great. The power adapter cable is a bit short when inserting it initially, but once the connection is made, you should be fine, or so I thought. After four years in a finished garage, I noticed my Nest mini suddenly resetting and completely forgetting the house it was assigned to. Strange - so I set it up again and moved it to a new plug. Within minutes, the same thing happened. I've moved it again into another area using a different adapter, and it works without issue. My best guess is that the wires stress failed in the cord from the adapter to the barrel plug. I can't recommend a product that fails when the device doesn't move or anything.

I bought this in an attempt to declutter a bit of my office space (after my dog chewed on the cord of the last one). She was constantly tripping over it and ripping it out anyway. It's been way more convenient. No cord to mess with, keeps it up against the wall, and holds it securely. I'm going to get more in the future for the other ones we have.

My cats decided to chew through the old dangling power cord. It would cost almost as much as the whole unit to replace just the cord - so I was very happy to see this alternative. It works perfectly and looks much tidier than the old angling cord. I highly recommend it!

Okay, I was able to get it to work, but there's some things you should know. The speaker fits REALLY tight to the holder, you'll need to put it with the adapter (power unit) connector first, then just slide it into the holder. It doesn't look like it's blocking the second outlet, and I won't know until I need to try it. Other than that it seems to be working out well, it's not like I'm having to move it around, you really just set it up, and forget it. I spent more time just setting up the actions/commands for it with my Nest system. It's very light, and feels sturdy for being plastic material.

I really didn't expect much from this, but it was simple to install and works well. It didn't sag in the socket and there were no issues with it turning off or anything odd.It's still going strong. Very handy little thing.

The Nest Mini Backpack 2nd Gen wall mount by Mount Genie for the Google Nest Mini 2nd Gen is a real compact space saver! They include a custom designed AC wall plug that’s the exact length needed (about 4 inches). So, there are no cables to wrap and hide behind the mount. The AC plug is a 2-prong plug, but they included a plastic tip where the ground wire would typically go. I’m assuming this is to add support for the weight of the Mini. If mounting it by itself, you still have access to the other electrical outlet – as long as the plug you are using isn’t a large “power brick” style. I also mounted my Amazon Echo Dot 3rd Gen using a mount by Dot Genie to the same outlet. I had to use a wood-file to remove approximately 1/8th of an inch of plastic on the tab that snaps the Mini into the Backpack Wall Mount. This part of the mount could have been manufactured a little better to not protrude below the mount so far. I’m happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

I really like this. Allows for a cleaner look and better sound. Really like that it comes with a custom power cord. Had no issues installing it. If you install it in the top socket it leaves the lower socket available for other plugs.

This turned out to be the best option I have found to mount the Nest Mini in the living room where I see it and it can hear me and respond to commands. I'm fortunate to have an outlet exactly where I need it. Mounted, it is compact and neat looking and does not have wires exposed and does not block the other outlet. It is simple and clean looking. The included adapter allows you to nix the cord that came with the Nest in the first place and it works just fine. I really appreciate Simple, clean design were form follows function. Great job.
