This license plate frame exceeded my expectations. All the parts were packaged very neatly and well protected with form-fitting foam around all the components to prevent damage during shipping. A 10mm wrench is even included for tightening the bolts that secure the license plate to the holder. And the manufacturer provided extras of all the loose hardware (nuts, bolts, bolt caps).All parts were of high quality, the instructions were clear, and the installation was super simple...... Once you've attached the license plate to the holder (with the provided nuts and bolts), just hold the assembly in the proper position on the middle of the grill and turn the knob to tighten and secure it to the grill. Once installed, no parts are touching the painted bumper so there's no potential for paint damage. Once secured in place, you can lock the holder with the provided key so that it can't be removed. Although most people won't need to remove their front plate very often, removal is as simple as installation..... Unlock the device and unscrew the knob used to tighten it on the grill.Bottom line? A well-designed and well-engineered product that I would highly recommend,

Installed on a 2023 Model 3 Performance.First thing I noticed was the neat and organized packaging, every item in its perfect 👌 cutout in foam. Nice touch. The two metal parts feel like quality. Good paint. One extra piece of hardware for each that you need (screws etc) shows they care for the customer (I'd 4 screws cost a dollar, now you include 5 on every order, the cost of hardware included goes up 25% ! Even if it's pennies it adds up for mass production!)Assembly is easy as a Lego set with 23 parts and a set of keys. 4 instructions.I really can't be more clear.If anyone at all has found their way into car ownership with all the requirements and responsibilities required along the way, somehow can't assemble this properly, they ought to reconsider the realities of what safely operating a motor vehicle entails as far as critical thinking and logical skills, then compare that to attaching 3 metal pieces together, and finally just turn in their license and surrender the car to authorities.I joke. But really, it's that simple!Once assembled with the plate securely attached, installation is a breeze. Simply bring the completed assembly to the front bumper of the intended car, and turn the lock mechanism adjustment knob all the way counter clockwise to the unlocked position (the grabber arms not extended).It's a little squeeze to get it all the way in, but not a "this shouldn't hit here" kind. Just snug, as if they intended for it to sit. There's a guide in the middle that is like a slot. Line that up with the vertical bar on the grille, and eventually it'll all wiggle in smoothly. No need to push hard.With the plate holder positioned correctly, check the little moving arms and where they have a little part at the end where it grabs on. Make sure that it's past the lip of the bumper so it will actually grab when you tighten it.Ready to tighten? Turn the knob clockwise to "tighten" and after a few turns make sure the "grabber arms" are hooking on the bumper.Finish tightening by locking the keyhole first. This enables a racheting function to keep it from looening from engine or road vibrations, or being loosened by a thief. Give it a few good clicks, one last click after it feels tight for good measure, and try to wiggle it. If you did it correctly, it will be stuck there solid til' you unlock it and loosen. The frame is locked to the car. The plate can't really be unbolted easily, due to caps over the screws. The screws have a proprietary bit driver slot (a Y shape, how clever) making it pretty theft proof, a concern for those with custom or rare plates.Overall, a perfect solution to any Model 3 owner who wants to comply with front plate laws in their city or state, but doesn't want to sacrifice any photo opportunities by having an ugly permanent mount practically glued on. Forget about repainting that section, or removing easily without damage! Honestly the simple barebones design of this product doesn't even look very bad at all, it's a clean installation, it looks custom, modern, and suits the car as far as style, for what its worth.A 5 star product.Personal "tiny things" if I "had to say something",The lock action isn't perfectly tight. A small wiggle may be needed for the key to go in and out of the lock cylinder. Inconsequential at best.Second,Getting the bracket into the wide grille opening--almost at first seemed the product wouldn't fit perfectly, or almost that I had the wrong one. I was wrong. It just needs to be carefully guided in and lined up with the middle vertical "spoke" of the grille, in the center. After that, push it in all the way. No scratching. It should sit snugly, so not much effort to get it there. Just check that the hook ends of the "claws" that expand when the knob is turned clear the inner lip of the bumper, making a proper grip. If worried about scratching a tiny bit of paint on the inner part of the grille opening on the bumper, put something thin between the paint and the part, and slide it in. Not necessary, in my opinion.If I had to for any reason, I would buy this again without even looking up any other ones.Bottom line, if you need your front plate on your Tesla Model 3, stop wasting time and buy this now!
