First - the shape and way this clip work are genuinely great. All money clips should look and work this way - the stupid lip on most money clips is a bummer and genuinely bad design. This clip is slim, holds bills securely, and I don’t see a reason why it should fail the way most money clips do.But now the bad, and it is unfortunately a major dealbreaker. I’ve through three of these clips, two “carbon fiber” and one plain metal. I returned the first carbon fiber when it arrived chipped. No big deal, sometimes mistakes get through. I returned through Amazon and got a replacement carbon fiber. This seemed to be in good shape and I was really happy using it for a week. Then I noticed the top “carbon fiber” finish was flaking off the side.I don't know if I got a counterfeit or what, but that’s not what real carbon fiber does. It does not flake off and show a dull grey plastic underneath. So I returned it for a refund. 80 bucks for flaky, fake carbon fiber is not gonna happen. But as I said, this is a great design and I needed a new money clip. So I ordered the plain silver metal version. Yikes the finishing on this thing. I mean, what finishing? Sharp edges, genuinely cheap feeling and at the price paid not a value. However it seems to work for what it is and I think I can put it in a leather sleeve for carrying now until some of those rough edges work themselves out - though that basically puts me back to carrying a wallet.

This money clip is smooth, easy to use, getting bills in and out of this classy clip. It fits flat in my pockets without the bulk of other money clips. Not a struggle to open when adding or removing bills, yet it holds them tight and flat.

The quality is top-notch and and it is "feather light". It is expensive; an alternative might be the stainless steel version. It will not be detected by an ordinary metal detector however, the devices used at the airport will detect its presence in your pocket, possibly requiring its removal and another pass-through.

It was a gift for a male. Very well made and expensive looking. It holds a lot of bills and fits nicely in a pant pocket.

There are some sharp pieces sticking out on the inside edge that have cut a couple bills on me already. Going to have to figure out how to file or cut them down to stop this

The attached photos show how I typically carry this clip. I do it this way so I can access my cards easily without having to take off the whole clip. I have 9 bills and 6 regular cards and 2 paper insurance cards included in the paper sleeve. I really enjoy the sleeve since it keeps my cards organized(especially those small insurance cards) and it keeps money from sliding since the paper has a good texture. As you can probably see, the paper sleeve has a loose string but I have had that loose string since I first bought it. It has not moved at all. I really like this money clip Since it minimizes bulk and does not have that wing that most money clips have going upward to help with sliding in money. This design makes it very flat in my pocket which is what I was looking for in a minimalist money clip/wallet. It withstood going through the wash multiple times and dropping out of my truck many times.

Okay this money clip isn't anything special!!! I could see maybe 10 bucks but 79 dollars is a freakin rip off!! Super pissed and would not recommend this product at all total cheap pos!! Where in the do you get off charging 80 bucks for something I bought my first one for 11.99 and like much better. Spending 80 bucks I thought this would be bad ass but I was completely wrong about that. Please save your money

The only thing better than this money clip is Tightwad’s customer service.I have carried a small leather money clip with slots for a license and a few credit cards for many years. When the most recent one started fraying along the edges I decided to try something different. Hours of research led to my purchase of this and another very expensive titanium money clip from a different manufacturer. I hesitated to pay the money for either but decided it was worth it to find a durable solution. They both arrived the same week and my plan was to use one for a couple weeks then switch to the other to compare. First up was the Tightwad Carbon Fiber. First impression was that it weighs almost nothing. $80 for a money clip that feels like a sheet of paper in your hand... I was a little nervous. The method for opening it to load your money was unique and I liked the flat profile which when combined with the light weight made it all but dissapear in my pocket. Over the next two weeks I found myself smiling every time I paid for something or retrieved my license. The satisfying “click” when the contents are removed. The effortless replacement of the contents back into the Tightwad. Its ability to firmly grasp even a single bill. I loved everything about it. When the time came to switch to the other money clip I couldn’t bring mysef to do it. I honestly kept postponing until I forgot about it all together. Then one day tragedy struck. I used cash to pay for an item and the change involved several additional bills. While I had been cautious not to overload it in the beginning, my guard had dropped and I pushed it too far. I heard a faint “crack” when the now larger roll of money and cards were placed back into the tightwad. Sure enough, the ends no longer touched when empty. Denial of what just happend, anger at myself for pushing it too far, bargaining belief I would always keep it full enough the stretched out form wouldn’t matter, sadness the first time the contents fell out of it, and finally acceptance that it was not the same clip I enjoyed using so much. It was dead. The only consolation was a very expensive second money clip I had yet to use.For months I used the competitor and it was very good. The capacity is at least double if not triple the Tightwad Carbon fiber. The titanium keeps it light and it always held its contents securely. I never enjoyed using it. The curve on one side to allow insertion of money/cards never bothered me in the past but after Tightwad I swear I felt it with every step or noticed it straining my jeans when turned outward. I missed the experience of the tightwad and felt guilty for breaking it. I was certain my only option would be to pay for a new one but decided to email the company in case it could be repaired. I told them what happened, accepted responsibility, and asked if there was any way it could be fixed. I had a response the same day saying they were eager to send me a new one and requesting photos of the broken one.My new Tightwad Carbon Fiber arrived only a few days later.Outstanding service. Outstanding product. I still smile a little every time I use it.Spend the money (dont over load it) and you will love it too!

Will not include the cardholder! They should change their youtube ad! 109 bucks with no cardholder! Not worth it

this clip is very good if you want to keep your money secure and safe. Other money clips out there bend out of shape and lose grip. This money clip doesn't the carbon fibre is strong and feels as light as plastic. so doesn't bulk out your pocket or weight it down. If your into money clips defo get this one and the hole in the centre un like other carbon fibre money clips out there helps you remove notes quicker.
