Even when the mug is cold, and there’s just black silhouettes of birds, it’s a totally cute mug. Then when you fill it with coffee or hot chocolate or tea, the birds magically change into bold, brilliant color. It’s fun all the way around. And, if you peek at the bottom of the mug, there’s a cheat cheat, identifying each of the birds. It’s great mug for anyone, but if you know someone who loves birds, it would make an awesome gift.

This is one of my favorite mugs and was a perfect gift for a bird lover. You can watch the birds appear once the heat is added and they are very brightly colored once fully heated. The names of all of the birds is printed on the bottom which is a nice touch. Comfortable to hold and not too heavy

This is a big, beautiful mug. It's my favorite to use. The birds are true to life bright colors and the cup is labeled to tell you which they are. But I don't care what the instructions say, do NOT use this in the MICROWAVE! If you microwave this cup, the color-changing birds applied to the surface will bubble up and peel off in bits. One trip through the microwave and it will be ruined. I gave one of these to someone who enjoyed it for several years, then a guest put it in the microwave and that was the end of it. Maybe because the spots of color on the birds are so small. Some of the mugs with bigger color-changing images have been OK when microwaved according to relatives I gifted them to. But NOT this one!

Bought this as a gift for a bird lover. She already loved the black silhouettes, but was delighted when they changed colour with her hot coffee.

Ordered this for my friends birthday and she loves it! Came well packed, great condition, and looks good. You just have to be very careful to read the directions on how to take care of this mug, so the bird decal and color changing lasts. I am waiting for delivery of my second mug today...a Christmas gift for my sister. Highly recommend!
