The Ecobee 3 Lite thermostat holes aren’t centered in the plate so the thermostat is offset when mounted. Looks like they made a design compromise to make it fit multiple models. Bugs me too bad to live with it so I returned. Don’t recommend if something not being centered bothers you.

Wall plate looked fine. Had to return it as our ecobee came with a back plate. Easy return.

I've owned 1 of the aluminum versions. They are thick, heavy and substantial. This is plastic. It is nice and serves the purpose, but is not metal.

I did not know the ecobee thermostat came with a trim in the box, but I’m still glad I ordered this one. The ecobee is all black but comes with a white trim. In the ecobee instructional video I thought it looked bad on the white trim.

Looks good. Not sure if it’s centered under the stat or not had to drill my own mounting hole but was good for the money.
