They fit just barely, but not enough to sit flat and securely on the rack "wires". Technically, though, I was able to hang a bicycle on them. I think if they _weren't_ thick, they would've been just right. My overhead rack is 20 years old like the house and the squares do not accommodate these things. If there were some level of adjustability, that would've been nice. Make sure your wire rack squares are small enough to accommodate these things. Will add a photo later on if the review can be modified.

I ordered these hooks initially to hang our bikes from our shelf system in our garage, but didn't measure beforehand. The wire lattice doesn't make squares so we can only use these hooks sideways. Don't be like me, measure before you buy! Otherwise, they're great quality. They ended up stopping my garage door when I first put them up because I forgot how much our garage door covers the underside of our shelves. Still usable, just won't be able to put our bikes on these.
