I use these to replace treble on plugs used for stripers and reds. They tangle less in the net and are easier to remove allowing me to get the fish back in the water quicker.

Price, quantity, sizes, and sharpness of hooks are good. Finish not so great. Coating was spotty on about a half dozen hooks. Without a good finish they won't last long in saltwater. Otherwise, they're ok for bulk fishhooks.

bought these to replace treble hooks on my Rapala-style lures w/one of these per lure. All hooks are sharp, consistent quality in this batch in 2023. 15 cents per hook is bargain for this quality. (I used to tie flies commercially and know hooks pretty good)

I bought these to swap out some treble hooks on my saltwater plugs. The assortment made fitting them to the plug easy but I am leery of the alignment of the eye. It seems to take up noticeable space, reducing the effective hook gap. I also noticed the eyes are rolled toward the hook point instead of away from it like on more expensive inline hooks. To me it seems to adjust the pivot point of the hook. With an octopus style eye it makes the hook point tend to turn into the setting motion, making the best use out of available hook gap. These seem to work the opposite way. I dont think it will prevent hook ups but it does limit the effective gap such that I feel the need to size up the hook to compensate.I havent used these long enough to pretend to have a real data set on effectiveness, these are just my observations based on the construction of the hooks.Overall these are decent for the price and will probably do just fine most of the time. I wouldnt trust them for important or rare chances to hook up a given fish but I’ll use them to keep treble hooks out of the faces of schoolie stripers.

I use them to replace all my treble hooks. They seem good quality. So far I haven’t experienced rusting but I do rinse them off with fresh water after every use. I like the different sizes but even the biggest one is not for the big lures, I think up to 6” lures these will work fine, anything bigger the hooks might be small.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. 6 different sizes to replace the treble hooks on many of my small to medium lures. These will probably not function well on large lures but for my purpose, they are just right.Replacing the trebles on my popping lures does not affect the action and makes it easier to catch and release the fish that I catch in the fall, mostly small to medium stripers and bluefish. I will be buying more of these soon.I must mention that I found 1 hook so far that was damaged or made imperfectly but a few bad out of 100 is not too bad a deal, especially for this price!Happy fishing fellow anglers!

These are not 2X or 3X strong, but they are strong. I put dittos on the comment of another regarding they run about size small, and about the gap on the eye. I fixed the gap with plyers - no big deal. They are fairly sharp. I have not used them yet, so can not comment about them rusting quickly.
