This thread chaser is commonly used for head bolt holes in Chrysler group aluminum engine blocks. I expected the tool to be longer, but it's the same length as an ordinary tap, just under 3-1/2 inches long. Aside from that, it seems to be a quality tool and will use it anyway. Hopefully I can bottom it out with a tap driver attached.

My stupid butt stripped the threads around the halfway mark for the front lower right subframe bolt on my 06 BMW 330i. Was able to use this guy without damaging the already intact threads. Ran it through twice, and bolt properly torqued to spec. I have read online similar cases as mine using other thread chasers without success but used a tap to thread in new threads but is risky as you only have one chance to do so or else you have to timesert. This guy worked flawlessly and was able to get some strength in without worrying about the chaser breaking inside the hole.

This thread chaser is just what I needed to correct a couple of lug nuts that were not spinning on the lug bolts like they should. I went and cleaned up the threads on the bolts with a die but the lug nut needed a little reshaping since the bolt was damaged previously with the wrong lug nuts.Worked as expected.

Not sure what the difference is between this thread "chaser" and a tap. I ordered a same size tap from another company and they both looked exactly the same. The tap was also much less expensive than this chaser

There isn't all that much to say about a thread chaser. It's a simple tool but when you need it, it's the best tool. This one is nicely manufactured. Seems to be made of the appropriate strength steel to work exactly as it should.

Good quality hardened steel that does not break easily. Dimensionally correct and takes a standard tap handle. Runs right down the threads giving a clean channel that allows for easy and quick bolt insertion with no resistance until fully seated.

Cleaned the threads on my 3.6L pentastar head. Head bolts wouldn’t screw back in easily while doing a head gasket repair. Ordered the thread chaser and ran it down each bolt location. Cleaned the threads an allowed the bolts to thread in with minimal effort.
