Bought it for my husband because got tired of him complaining always needing to size washers, screws, etc and having to drive to the hardware store to use theirs. It came in a sturdy cardboard box wrapped in bubble wrap. He took it out and immediately fell in love. He actually cradled it in his arms and quick walked to his garage/workshop. Later he came back and told me how nice it was, well built and heavy. Of course I had to go watch while he showed me all the things he could now do. (sigh). Happy Husband.

No kidding, this is great! How often have you fumbled around trying to figure out what thread of bolts, screws or nuts you need for a project? Well this will have you covered.This is very well made from a good thick anodized aluminium plate with precise tapped threads for bolts and screws, and steel studs for finding nut sizes. It even comes with nice rubber feet, although you could also mount it to a wall, or hang it from a pegboard or nail.The thread gauges include both SAE fine and course threads, as well as common Metric sizes. There are also several holes for measuring common sizes of smooth rod and a couple of convenient scales to measure bolt shaft length.This is a seriously nice tool that will save many hours of frustration, and it deserves 5 stars.
