Why the content of jasmine petals is low in the finished quality jasmine tea?

1. The core of the curing process is “absorbing fragrance” rather than retaining flower petals.

The essence of the process: Jasmine tea is made by using green tea as tea blanks, and through repeated blending and curing with jasmine flowers, the tea leaves can fully absorb the fragrance of the flowers. After curing, most of the flower petals are sifted out.

Freshness: the flower petals will lose their freshness due to the loss of water after curing, and even ferment to produce off-flavor.

2. Residual petals may reduce the quality

Impact on taste: Jasmine petals stored for a long time may release bitter and astringent flavors, which may ruin the freshness and sweetness.

Appearance and preservation: The petals are easy to absorb moisture, leaving too much will increase the risk of moisture in the tea, and the tea broth is easy to be cloudy, affecting the visual aesthetics.

3. High-end tea focuses more on the “fusion of tea aroma” rather than form

Aroma: The standard of quality jasmine tea is the fusion of tea flavor and aroma, not the number of petals.

Traditional practice: a large number of petals remaining may be considered as rough craftsmanship (e.g. unscreened or dried flowers added at a later stage), while fewer petals represent fine handling after several curing operations.

This tea has an aroma of flowers. Most tea doesn't. Which I like. But it comes in lose plastic bag inside the can, which i don't think it could keep the freshness well.

Umm no, this tea taste like cheap tea. I’m not even sure this is jasmine tea. I’ve drank many jasmine tea in my life. Good jasmine tea will emit a different taste based on how long you steep it. The perfect brewing time is about 3 to 5 minutes depending on the brand. If you steep it too long it’s a little bitter. If you steep it just right, the tea will impart a fragrant flavor. This tea taste the same no matter how long I steep it.

These are the best and my favorite so far. I have tried many different types from everywhere and these always seem to make me the happiest. They taste great, smell great, and are priced well.

This is the real Chinese jasmine tea that you can only get from Chinese store. I've tried to find it at other local Asian markets, Korea, Indian etc. But I can only find it at large Chinese markets. But the closest market I can get to is 35 minute drive. Glad that I can find it here at Amazon. When you open the tin can, you can clearly smell the jasmine flavor. This the same way Chinese people have been making this type of jasmine tea for many decades. After I ran out of the old tea, I've tried various other tea. Mostly tea bags. Almost all of them do not have much tastes. Even the tea bags from some 5 star hotels. They are all the new style "tea". Not real tea, but some blends of almost anything or everything. Very disappointed. All do not get much flavor or taste.Enjoy another cup of tea for the next day and more to come.

Very good green tea. Good box. Comes in a bag in the box. I make the tea with a tea ball and hot water.

Amazing jasmine tea. Don't oversteep on the first brewing (3.0-3.5 mins is good), but it does well for longer steeps (4 or even 5) on the 2nd and 3rd brew. Just a comforting and delicious everyday tea.
