A lot bigger than I was expecting, but great to protect cables from water. I know there’s openings for the cables, but I did place something inside and left it in the rain, to see how it performed and it kept it dry, so it works for me.Planning to use this coming pool season. Would like some different color options, but I may just paint the outside.

This box is outstandingly well designed for any outdoor lighting or holiday decoration ninjas. If Clark Griswold had this he'd have gotten his lights on the first try. I love the consideration taken for waterproofing/resistance in its design. It's modular and scalable if you want to use multiple boxes. The cable inlets all have seals and cable security built in so you don't have to worry about water sneaking in or your cables being damaged from accidental tugging on them.

Initial thoughts on the electrical box is the plastic feels very durable and the gaskets are soft and pliable. I can see this providing decent protection under most circumstances. The clamps for the lid feel strong and are easy to unlock. On closer inspection you can see why it's only rated for splash protection. The gasket on the lid doesn't seat properly on the bottom piece some places not even making contact. Water still has to go under the lip and then upwards to enter the box. I've had similar boxes to this and they still keep my cables dry so I'm not to worried about this just don't put this out in the open during a storm.

This size is made for a typical power strip, and does an excellent job of keeping rain out. I've had it on the ground with wires through its ports for about a month now, with no signs of water intrusion whatsoever.

This electrical box looks fine and feels OK. It is brown and made of PP (polypropylene), known for its durability, lightweight, versatility, and chemical resistance. Its waterproof rating is IP54, which means it is not waterproof; it is only splash resistant. Submersion and exposure to strong water jets could result in damage.Even in its closed state, the lid does not close well, allowing a small gap, which is the reason why it is only IP54. To be able to remain impervious to water jets, the waterproof rating has to be IP65 or IP66. Therefore, it is a bit disappointing that its lid does not close tightly; it should still do well against splashes, which is exactly what the marketers claim their product can do.I ordered the box that has six entry ports, which their webpage states that they can accommodate 12, 14, and 16 AWG wires. There is no problem with 14 and 16 AWG wires. However, it requires some effort to fit 12 AWG wires through the ports. Its webpage claims that it can support 600 pounds, which is something that the people who ordered this electrical box do not care at all about. We did order this box to have a buffalo sit on it. What we want is a higher level of water resistance. This outdoor electrical box is certified by CE Marking (Conformité Européenne), which implies that this product complies with EU (European Union) safety, health, and environmental requirements.I am tired of so many companies that have claimed their products to be waterproof when they are only water-resistant, so I appreciate this company clearly claiming that its product is only splashproof (IP54). Besides, it is certified by CE, which means it is safe to use. Therefore, I recommend this electrical box.

I got this box to use for Christmas light cord management.Likes:- The plastic is of a good quality. For my use it will only be out in the elements for about 45 days per year and I am sure I will get several seasons of use. If I needed a box to be out 365 days per year I'd probably go with a metal box.- It is water sealed.- The top lid comes off. This makes it easier to work with the cords in the box than using a box with a hinged lid.- The material used at the ports has a soft feeling, not too stiff and not too soft.- I didn't take a photo of the bottom but it has attachment points for mounting the box on a wall or other structure. It also comes with the screws for the mount. For my use this is an excellent box. It is selling for $24.29USD as of this review and that is a good price for a product like this.

The long side is a bit warped so I had to manipulate it a good bit to seal properly. Seems fairly well made. Using it on a porch to tidy up cords. Looks decent.

I’m giving it 4 stars because the size is big and the construction material is strong enough it could take some abuse, otherwise i would have given it three. However, for something whose intended purpose is to keep electrical connection waterproof it is adequate at best.First, the openings where the wires go in have some rubber, but what actually holds the wires in place to stop it from sliding in or out are these plastic “gates”, which are pretty useless for anything besides a heavy gauge extension cord. And the rubber that is there is not enough, and is flimsy, so not only is it not able to hold the thin wire (like Christmas lights), securely in place, there is a little gap where if the wire is angled downward into the box i could see water following the wire directly in without a drip loop in there. For the price i was expecting a little better.
