The clasp looks ok looking dead on from the front, but the depth is huge. I looked at my other Clips with clasps, and they are half as deep. So when you put it on, especially low on the chest (traditional), it just doesn't sit right or level. Maybe that's why they show it so high on the chest in the pictures. So not really happy with purchase.

This Skcess Purple Tie Clip is a nice looking one with a great presentation. For someone looking to give a nice gift, get something for prom or a wedding, or perhaps just because you like purple, this IS a nice tie clip. But I do feel it's also an example of "getting what you pay for." Hear me out...The price point at the time of receipt is very low and is good for a basic tie clip - something to wear as already mentioned - but certainly not a high end, expensive tie clip you'll likely have forever. So is this Skcess Purple Tie Clip worth it?The presentation is really nice. Arriving in a nice black box whomever you give it to should be impressed. The outer black wrap, a black box in which one can keep the clip, and the tie itself (in plastic to protect it) make for a nice gift opening. The Skcess Purple Tie Clip is an... interesting purple. My wife and I agree it has a combination of purple with... purple-pinkish coloring. I'd say the colors in the pictures are wrong or off, but they are not. In some lights or directions is takes on the darker purple, in others the light pinkish tinge comes in. The... "diamond" at the center is of course not real and in many ways we couldn't even see it - it's small, blends, but we also have older eyes. But at a distance it actually looks very nice. The design overall looks nice and should punch up a range of tie looks and colors.The materials of the Skcess Purple Tie Clip are... decent to good. I've always had a love-hate relationship with the type of clip-spring you find here. Some are set perfectly and hold in the center of the back - those are made with good, solid materials. Some are offset or angled, lesser materials, and do not last long. This Skcess Purple Tie Clip IS centered pretty well and the materials seem... decent. But no, they do not appear or feel like a higher quality clip.In the end I feel like a 4 star rating IS a fair one, as it applies to the (current) price point, does not belie it's true value by claiming to be more or higher than it is, and it IS nice for what you get. I WILL use it proudly and as long as it lasts, I'll be a nice find and addition to my tie clips - I've wanted a purple one and this will do (for the time being). So in the end, for prom or a dance, a wedding, a gift, a younger man, or that guy who likes this color... you most likely will be pleased with this Skcess Purple Tie Clip.
