I purchased this to fit on a shelf, but the exterior dimensions provided were incorrect, so I'm having to return it. The product has a uniform matte black finish, but the material is very flimsy. One of the dividers arrived cracked.

I ordered a used one as it is going in our closet so no one else will see it. The tie holder just had one little nick on one corner so I am fine with it for the price.It works well for me in the space I had for it. I have it sitting on a small shelf that is the same width as the box. It matches the wood stain I have with the belt holder that is under the shelf, so they look good together.My ties fit in fine when rolled up. I did not have to roll them tight as there is enough space in each compartment.There are two slots through to the back to secure the unit flush to the wall. It can with three screws and anchors to do that.If you have sixteen or less ties this can probably work for you.

Although the shipping box arrived unharmed, the wood was split in half...very cheap wood.

Don’t get because it not only came cracked, but the slightest nudge cases the shelves to break as the grain runs along where the slots are.

I have a couple of these boxes in the closet drawer. I put my husband's ties, suspenders, and other items in them. The dividers are easy to remove for added space. I also have one in a kitchen drawer for all of our phones, laptop, etc. chargers. It works great to keep all the cords separated and easy to find the one you need.
