This is fantastic! While I'm not a professional fighting game player, I play frequently enough to have always been curious about this type of controller. I've observed top competitors using them and it's clear there's a significant advantage to this style. I haven't had it long, and I'm still learning, but I definitely feel I can execute moves more smoothly in games like Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8. Having used a joystick for most of my life, the learning curve is quite steep. Others might adapt faster, but for me, it's required considerable practice. Ultimately, I'm enjoying both the learning process and the improved gameplay experience. Ordering this was an excellent decision.

Honestly, I've been liking this low profile fighting controller a lot. It definitely takes a bit to get used to, but it's very responsive and feels pretty good. This kit came with a USB cable, a couple of replacement switches, some additional switch caps and a wrench to open the controller. Button placement is great and feels natural to my hands, a set of instructions are also provided with these, though you can find additional details and videos on these online. The only drawback is that there are other great alternatives out there between $50-60 USD, which makes the $90 price tag on this a bit tough to overlook.I think it's a great controller, but get this one on sale.

I’ve used leverless controllers before, and I have mixed feelings about this one.First, the good. It works on all the supported devices I tested (PC, PS3, PS4, and Steam Deck). But getting it to work was a hassle. The included instructions are confusing, so I had to use the ones from the order page instead. I’d recommend doing the same. On the plus side, changing the RGB lighting is easy with no issues. Now for the build quality. At first, I wasn’t impressed, but once I unwrapped it and held it, it actually felt solid. The matte finish looks nice, and it’s sturdy enough to be portable. But there are some design choices that don’t make sense. There are no button prompts, so unless you’ve memorized the layout, good luck telling X from Triangle or A from B. Also, the OLED screen is blurry and hard to read, which should be an easy fix with a firmware update. Except they specifically tell you not to update the firmware. There’s a lot to like here, but just as much working against it. So yeah, I’m torn on this one. It’s not a bad leverless controller. If just using it on one game console or just for PC and had prompts. It’s perfect, but as it is, it’s ok.

I’ve seen a number of these devices on Amazon, with varying materials used and similar price ranges. This one from Tikitaka comes and feels pretty solid. Using the included hex wrenches I was able to tell the outside is more plastic with an acrylic on the inside. Another reviewer thought they were metal plates, but they are not.I’ll say the first thing you should do is take in the included rubber bumpers and install them on the backside. The screws stick out and will scratch a hard surface, so not sure why they didn’t pre-install these and/or include more or just chose a better system so screws don’t protrude.Plugging into PC worked great. I was able to get into the web browser 192.168.7.1 to configure it. I did’t like the documentation that came with it. I thought it was hard to read and there are odd warnings at the bottom. ‘Never click on the red ‘DANGER ZONE - Reset Settings’. If you click, it will cause all the configurations to be lost and the product can be used’. Also, ‘Do not click “Get Latest Version”. Do not upgrade the firmware, as it will not help with usage and may introduce bugs. So you get a controller that you can reset settings or ever upgrade the firmware?? Huh?? Too bad as the latest firmware looks like things I might care about. The website you go to is an open source GITHUB, so I am not really sure why doing updates, etc. would brick the device. That alone would probably normally have me return it.Using the controller I found it be a bit finicky if you hit two keys at once. Some of these devices don’t have the ring around the button, so maybe that is part of my issue. I didn’t like that the keys aren’t labeled as I won’t use this enough to gain muscle memory and will have to either add my own using my label maker or something else. I also really just wanted to use this for my Raspberry Pi Game System. It does seem to work, but doesn’t have official support. The OLED screen resolution is something like 192x64. It was too blurry to read. There is a paragraph in the instructions basically saying ‘yeah we know it’s blurry’. They seem to have prioritized their frosty panel over being able to read it. They could have easily made a cutout if they didn’t want to change materials.I think the concept and GitHub project are a good idea, but if you want to go for one of these, I’d look around to make sure you are getting the one that will best serve your used case. For me, I’d look for better case with clear OLED screen, button mapping on key or below key, different key and maybe a more clear acrylic. Also, I would consider price. I’ll pay premium if I can have all those features. If I can not, it would be less.
