Just fitted the NATO for a day and it's clear the strap quality is not good as threads coming off quickly. The NATO is also shorter than normal. For this price you would expect a better quality and length. Had to return.

Upon opening the packaging I was disappointed, as the band looked and felt like it was made from a thing, flimsy piece of plastic. Against my better judgement, I did not return it. After two weeks of regular wear, the band has stretched and now fits awkwardly one notch tighter than where it should be. It feels like it will break any time now. The cheap nylon bands Times sells seem like a better alternative to this “leather” band, and that’s pretty sad. I ordered a higher quality replacement within a week of this waste of money arriving.

It's a nice NATO strap. It makes my Timex Expedition looks and feel a lot nicer than it does on the cheap leather band that it came with.

The band is comfortable and well constructed; very easy to "install". Another reviewer asked why there are two straps and that is simply for comfort. I know I wouldnt like the metal pins rubbing my skin all the time. Anyway, great product.

I originally bought my Timex weekender Chrono from Target. It came with a similar strap that was just slightly lighter in color. I hated the color, almost a pinkish leather, but over time it darkened from grime and dirt. That strap started to unravel and reveal two thinner straps of what I'm assuming is cheap fake leather until it came apart. It was terrible and I needed a replacement.THIS STRAP ON AMAZON IS THE REAL DEAL.It's full genuine leather, it smells like cows. It also is almost .5mm thicker than the cheap one my watch came with. In addition, its pre-tanned to a natural dark brown! Not to mention, this is Official Timex Brand.I'm confused why my watch didn't come with it in the first place. Maybe they shaved $20 off of the sticker price to sell it in stores. Timex won me over with the watch, and now I have a strap that takes a licking too.
