While this piece is a great size, if you even tap it with something like a pen or computer the wood dings and stain comes off. It's really soft wood. I have only used it two days and am quite careful and I have numerous marks like the ones pictured. It obviously isn't going to hold up at all. I would not recommend this product.

I like the look a lot. This is real wood which means there are some slight imperfections. The stand is made of different pieces of wood (already glued together) and four legs with screws. Issues: the top of the stand isn’t flush on one side; the slider “door” requires a little effort to move and sits at an angle; the pre-drilled leg holes were too big on one so that leg just spins around (I need to get larger screws); and today I noticed the wood on top has a small crack where two sections were pieced together. The stand is still functional but it seems others have received a better quality product.

I love the way this riser look! I didn't want a plastic riser and this fit the bill. It is sturdy and my monitor sits securely on it. I took off one star because on the inside, some of the wood has small chips. Other than that, it is really nice.

I love the wood of the stand. It was easy to put together with the pre-drilled holes that were provided. Most of all it was what I needed.
