First, the negatives: It's not as small as pictured, it's not a dainty quarter-sized widget your cat won't notice. It will *fit* on a cat, it's not cat-sized. It has some heft - not a lot, but it's there. The multi-channel thing is kinda stupid, it should be a separate feature/different tier purchase, and the zap-lock is superfluous. It doesn't reliably arc through fur - we had to shave our cat's neck but this is physics, not a drawback to the device. That said I do prefer the conductive silicone, it's not metal against the neck so it won't wound their throat over time. You have to be serious about training your cat, this isn't a bottle-water-spray oh-noes-fluffy-is-on-the-counter, "let's use an orange slice to deter her" device, this is a "stop sending my other cat to the hospital by attacking it at 2a. No, really, knock it off!" device. This is what I'm dealing with, a territorial new cat that came into the house that absolutely will not tolerate my other cat and terrorizes her at absolutely every opportunity! Months of scruffing, "discipline", pheromones, isolation, separation... you name it, we've tried it, and she's *aggressive*, scratching up my hand, biting with resulting infections, practically sending ME to the hospital, "this is MY house now, B**** " level of problems. This collar delivers a throat punch, absolutely terminating bad behavior in-situ. It makes your cat seriously stop and think, "do I want the gratification of attacking, or do I want to NOT get punched in the throat. Hm." and it chooses to leave the room instead. Total change in behavior over time, we can pet her again, relax on the couch and go to bed because the remote works anywhere in the house - long range - and at 2a she'll get throat-punched if she attacks the other cat, without our ever leaving the bed. Some tips for use:- do not be squeamish, you're buying this because you need it, and if you need it then use it. Fighting cats is a seriously dangerous problem for human beings and ESPECIALLY children, so rather than reach your hands into the cat-blender, push the button instead.- speaking of children, no children should ever have access to this device. It's not fun, funny or payback, it's an adults-only-serious-training tool.- be absolutely consistent, behavior A results in consequence B. "Beep" means "I'm watching you", Vibrate means "you're pushing it, when I call your name I expect you to pay attention" and ZAP means "next time, stop at vibrate and pay attention when I call your name. This is MY house, not yours, do as you're told."- this is a serious training tool that could send your cat to the hospital if you hold down the zap button because they won't be able to breathe. Don't be cruel!- we had to shave the cat's neck because it doesn't work through fur unless you crank it to 100%, and then it's inconsistent. We carefully fitted the collar and then shaved all around the neck (holding her down with bite-proof gloves and using a pet shaver) so that later when she's fighting, no matter where the collar ends up, ZAP when you push the button.- use it on yourself first. 10% sucks, it freakin' hurts... and then it's over, pain gone, no big deal. Nobody wants 20% twice in a row, it's strong. We had to set ours to 50% with a shaved neck to absolutely halt her attacking behavior in-situ, I sure wouldn't want to get hit with it especially across the throat!. Any higher than 60% is not recommended, to be used very carefully, or with much larger animals. All that said, I love this thing. It's reliable, that it's rechargeable is great (we charge once/week while we leave the house and the misbehaving cat is locked up while we're out), long range and pretty easy to use. Fitment can be complicated and requires attention to detail, as do the settings, so take the time and do it right.Discipline is no longer adversarial, one-on-one "I'm your enemy now, it's time to get disciplined for your behavior", the throat-punch shock leaves the cat with nobody to get angry with, it's just the collar, nobody else even has to be in the room for discipline to be effective (you can't miss the sound of cats fighting no matter where you are in the house: push the button). This is a serious tool for serious problems... and it works, it WILL curb your animal's negative behavior when properly used.

This is a great product with the 3 separate modes for sound, buzz/vibrate, and a wide range of actual shock intensity. Doesn't take much for a cat and now the beep mode makes her behave Love it and the small size can fit virtually any size pet. Must Have !!!

I have a farm cat that I let indoors when the weather isn't so nice out. He's usually pretty good, but like all cats they are mischievous when you least expect. After putting this collar on for a few days his behavior has improved greatly. When he behaves in an unacceptable manner, I use the shock setting 1. Note he is a full grown male cat that weights about 15 lbs. There is a sound and a vibration setting. Vibration ranges from 1 to 99. The sound seems to be one set volume, but is a sharp sound just the right volume. The shock feature ranges from 1 to 99. I used vibration on my cat, but it didnt seem to phase him. However when I set the shock on 1 and caught him behaving badly one tiny shock and he immediately quit his behavior. It didnt seem harmful to him at all. He is a full size male cat so perhaps the vibration isn't enough for him. If training a kitten i believe the vibration would be plenty. The side of the remote also has a switch to lock the shock button from accidentally being pressed. This collar would fit small kittens to full size cats, so that is a nice feature. The transmitter is fairly small but effective. One power button and has a charge port with a rubber cover to protect it from water. The remote is user friendly and has a neat flashlight on it too. This would be ideal for training your pets to behave. It has helped with my cat and I believe it would be effective in small dogs too. Additionally it comes with multiple collars and will fit 6 inch to 26 inch necks. It also states that it is not for cats under 5 pounds.

This collar has helped a lot with out cat's loud meows in the middle of the night! We only use the beep and vibration function which works well. The different levels of vibration are very helpful!

Works great and vibrate is strong enough that I don’t even use the shock. A lot less jumping in the counter now. Easy to fit to cat. Works well.

My cat is extremely hard headed and other training options didn’t work, so I finally decided to give this collar a try- lo and behold, his bad behaviors are finally being fixed! He doesn’t seem bothered by the collar at all, and the buzzing option deters him immediately. The beeping is also a nice training tool for recall.Everything is adjustable, from all the settings to the collar itself. My cat has a smaller neck, which is what I originally worried about, but the collar can be fitted as loose or as tight as desired, and you simply trim the excess away. I was also concerned with the power behind the buzz and shock settings, but it’s completely adjustable, with levels from 1 to 100. I feel comfortable using this on my cat, because I’m in complete control.I don’t keep this collar on him 24/7, though I feel as if I could. Out of the other options, I trust this brand. The collar is made well- very sturdy without the typical heaviness. The remote range is also impressive. There’s a safety feature with the shock option as well- a lock and unlock switch, so the button isn’t accidentally triggered.Overall, I’m satisfied, and I recommend this product to anyone with stubborn cats!

It fit my cat although it took some adjustment. He didn't react to the beep or the vibrate. I didn't plan to use the shock button but my cat needed it. He is very wild and goes where I don't want him to go. Remote works well.
