No. The moon phase movement quit working almost immediately. This watch sucks.

When this arrived the box was not sealed in a wrapped. Just a box. The instruction that came with the watch was not for this watch. Would suspect it is a used mechanical pocket watch. Purchase this watch to replace one I dropped. The first time winding the watch it work as any normal wind up watch. Next day when winding the watch and reaching the full wind position, this watch hands rotated. Yes they rotated when the watch is at the fully wound up position. To set the correct time, you have to pull the stem up and set the time just as indicated in instruction. Disappointed.

Update: so this clock doesn’t keep time. I set it at 9:30am. By 12:30 it read 10:45ish. At 2:12 it reads 12:45ish. Funny thing about this is that i had a dirt cheap watch as a kid in the 80s that kept perfect time. I would not set it all year and it would be correct to the second each new years (and no, I didn’t change it for daylights savings). So it’s not rocket science or hard to make a working clock! It was figured out long ago but now these companies can’t manage to do it.Original review: It may look nice from a distance but this uses cheap thin plastic instead of mineral “quartz” glass. Tell me why cheap wrist watches costing 4 times less than this watch can have quartz and this cannot?? Followed the winding instructions at 7pm and the watch was dead by 10:30pm. So i would have to wind it 7 times more than the instructions say to 70ish rotations to get a full day?? Except it starts feeling tight when you wind it even just 20-25 times & I have heard stories of watches breaking when overwound. Lastly I do not believe that the lunar indicator is legit. Notice how it’s in the same position in every marketing image. Just to see, I tried setting the watch time ahead several days. The lunar indicator did not move. If it really worked it would have some movement.

This silver toned pocket watch is nice looking and arrives in a box, suitable for gift giving, along with a sturdy matching pocket chain and a booklet with instructions. The open/close latch works as it should and the watch is easy to set and wind. Conveniently, you can see the time whether the front cover of the watch is opened or closed. The watch face numbers are in arabic lettering rather than roman numerals, which I prefer. Nothing on the watch face is luminous. Last, and probably most importantly, the watch keeps excellent time. So, if you are looking for an inexpensive, stylish looking pocket watch that keeps accurate time, then this could be your perfect choice. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my 8 year old son for his birthday. He really liked the watch - beautiful design and can see the inner gear works. The mechanically winding function was wonderfully old world. However, it broke within 2 months of use. We are very sad and disappointed.
