Oy, I had one similar to this for a few years, can't find it! Got this one and it works just as well. I have so many different types of brushes for cats. Two long haired cats, and I use the wider side of this on them as the others I cannot run thru their hair (except for the rubber ones, but I don't get as much hair off). Also, my older cat tends to get knots in his hair. This is the BEST for that. He has shorter hair, but I will start with the wide end, gently work thru it a little at a time and then use the other side to get the smaller knots. The fact that it will cut thru the hair knots too helps a lot. I love this tool.

This brush is well made and works well just keep in mind it isnt for all pet hair types. It works great on my medium length thick haired husky mix but her thinner haired sister not so much. Neither dog minds it any worse than other brushes so it is easy on their skin. The handle is easy to hold and the brush head is easy to clean out.
