This combination bike lock can be a customized with a 4-digit resettable code. I love this feature, because you can choose a code that you and other family members will remember. Although available in multiple fun colors, I chose steel gray because I think the combo numbers are easier to read.The lock was purchased for use in a rural area where I’m not overly concerned about theft. It’s four feet long, so I can lock it around just one wheel. It also comes in longer lengths, so in an urban area you might want a six-foot lock to go around both front and back wheels.A spring-loaded mounting bracket is easy to install on the bike frame, so the lock can be rolled up and stored there.

I purchased this lock to lock my bike inside my shared garage. I live in a major city, and didn’t think I needed to spend a ton on a lock since I only leave my bike inside. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Within a week my bike was stolen, with this hunk of s*** laying on the ground. I should have invested more on a proper lock that works, but this thing should’ve held up a little bit!!! Do not buy!!!

In less than 2 months the passcode stop working with my son’s bike locked in. I took a photo of the passcode before locking it to remember it when I first use it, but yesterday it stopped working. I read the 1 star reviews and there are many like me having the same issue.Therefore, I borrow a simple common saw and I was able to cut it in less than 60 seconds.I hope I get a full refund.

I love the design of this lock, the way it tucks out of the way and it's very easy to use and put back, and looks nice. But i've lost two in the last 6 months because the latch didn't keep the lock fastened and it fell off somewhere along my route. When the first one fell off, I ordered the identical lock, but went ahead and replaced the holder, even though the first one was still in place and seemed functional. But the second lock fell off within a month, and I had never even removed it from the holder to use it in that time.I'm still debating whether to try again or replace it with a different brand or design.UPDATE: Seller reached out and offered a refund - I went ahead and replaced it with the same product. I've mounted this one horizontally on the bike instead of vertical so there will be less pressure on the latch, but this new one seems tighter with less play than the first one. Still love the design.In case you don't find instructions for your new lock, you just set the combination to 0000 (the default code) and open the lock. There's a ridged circular dial inside - just turn it about a quarter turn, change the numbers to something you'll remember, then turn the dial back to it's original setting. That's all that's needed to change the combination. Close the lock and spin the dials and it should be locked. Set it to your new numbers and it should open.

I purchased 2 of these bike locks for our young kids so they can have the option of riding their bikes to school. The programmable lock works great and it's a necessity that we can program it to something the kids can easily remember. They were also able to just keep the locks under the handlebars of their small bikes, wrapped around the bar when not in use. So far so good. In actual use, both kids found it a bit difficult to maneuver them around their bikes and the bike stand and getting it to lock and unlock effectively. That's not so much to say the locks aren't well made; they are. It's just it takes getting used to and both kids were frustrated initially, with the lock always want to coil and the "key" not always pulling out or going in as easily as you might expect. Eventually they figure it out, maybe with a little help sometimes. Just wish it was easier for them to do on their own, but that will certainly come with time and practice.
