I just installed this keyboard today into a Lenovo e580. The picture posted shows the difference in how the cables are arranged between the factory (top) and the replacement (bottom). The factory connectors have a nice crease to them to point the cables towards the connectors in the motherboard. The replacement cables are not creased, so you have to do some bending of the cables to get them installed. It makes that side of the keyboard rise up a bit, but then it will compress the cables when everything is reinstalled and it is secured in place. Minor annoyance, but that is why I took off a star.More importantly, when I first booted the laptop, the pointer and mouse buttons on the keyboard did not function at all. I'm looking at the old keyboard and thinking I'll need to remove parts off of that one to swap into the brand new replacement. Not good! However, I first went into Device Manager / Mouse and Pointers and uninstalled the Synaptic Touch Device (or something along that name). After confirming and rebooting the laptop, the pointer and buttons work as intended. So, if you run into that issue - no need to panic!
