It's cute and the fabric is soft, but the material is thinner than it looks in the pictures. And the design on the sweatshirt is vinyl so eventually it will peel. I got a size 6 for my 7 year old because she's small for her age, and the clothes were still a bit big and loose fitting (which I liked) and the waistband fit her perfectly. While the waistband is stretchy, you can't use the drawstrings to adjust it if your child is too small because they're just for decoration. They don't actually pull out and tighten. But for only $6.99, it's decent.
