These bolts were superior to any similar bolts available at local plumbing supply stores. Stainless and the rubber washers were well designed (not flat) so the wedged rubber washers fit perfectly in the large tank holes resulting in a perfect watertight seal. Could not get a watertight seal with the flat rubber washers.

It's not really reasonable to ask if such devices are easy to use or install, since it depends on the design of the toilet. In my case, accessing the area for the washers was incredibly tricky, but that was hardly the fault of the bolts. They've been in a few months now and seem to be doing a good job.

These worked great. The beveled gasket that sits inside the tank is the way to go with these, and the flat gasket on the bottom is nice too when worried about over tightening. It saved me a trip to the hell that is Home Depot so I recommend.

The rubber washers that come with toilets are garbage. They have a stepped diameter that gets torn up as you install, so if you ever need to remove the tank say goodbye to the seals. If you go to the common box stores, they call them "heavy duty bolt kit" but they are not. They include very thin flat washers which just don't seal no matter how much you crank down on the bolts. This kit not only includes a nice tight tapered top seal, but the bottom seal is twice as thick as the other bolt kits for a nice seal. Only had to snug the bolts, ran water in before using the wingnuts to tighten it down, no leaks.If I had one complaint, it's that these seem to be non-standard threads (with a very thin bottom nut), guessing it's probably metric not the standard 1/4-20 which means I couldn't use my existing thicker nuts.

High quality product and no leaks thus far. Although you can figure out how to install from the pictures, it would be nice if they provided some sort of simple instructions about installation. Also, the wingnuts did not fit my particular model of toilet (my bottom of bowl bolt holes are very close to the rest of the toilet bowl and did not allow space for wings to turn). I had to run to the hardware store and buy additional nuts of the correct metric size in lieu of wing nuts.

This is an excellent stainless steel kit. The conical washer seems to work better than the flat washer style, which sometimes have a slow leak regardless of how much you crank them down. These seal tight first time. I bought two sets. One set came double packed with everything intact. One set came with just a single plastic bag that, of course, developed a hole and, of course, lost a metric nut on the way to me. Of course, I didn't have an M8 x 1.25 nut in the thousands of miscellaneous pieces of hardware/junk in my basement, so it was off to the hardware store to pay $.89 for a single stainless nut (plus more than that in gas). Thus, I knocked off one star for the iffy packaging. Overall highly recommended, particularly if you get all the parts.
