I have a 1990 Fender JP-90. USA made, but while the bridge (jazz) pickup is Alnico, the stock Neck (P-Bass) is ceramic. It sounded pretty good, actually... but this is worlds better. Classic P-Bass sound... as good as most any I've heard. And priced so low, considering the great quality. A must buy.

I had a Matt freeman signature that had been “upgraded” to some after market pickups. I searched about on social media and forums to find out which pickups were close to stock and found these. Apparently these were fitted from new. The bass sounds nice and mellow compared to the after market pups. A perfect as required p bass sound. No nonsense. Easy to fit. Came well packaged and fast delivery. Couldn’t be happier with these.

I've been happy with about every Tonerider pickup I've purchased. The quality at the price point is great. I would have given 5 stars but half the mounting hardware was missing. Only two of the four screws were included. I had to use two of the screws from the pickup I pulled out. This is part of quality control check.

I bought a Dean CZ bass for stage presence, it's a cheap bass $200, but it had a nice neck. Original pickups were weak & sounded mediocre at best. Based on all the good reviews I purchased these Toneriders, because I didn't want to pay twice as much for a high end brand. These sound incredible, I felt like Dr.Frankenstien "It's Alive!!". Seriously, these are very high output, so strong, it literally sounds like active pickups with great definition, punch, growl. I've played bass since 1978 and ive played 100's of basses, as i owned a music store for 14yrs and i highly recommend these pickups to bring your bass alive. Keep it funky people!

the main power leads into the pickups were so think and stiff they snapped right off trying to move them. idk if they were bootleg or old stock but they are in the parts bucket now

I needed replacement pickups for a Squier P-bass where the pickups were shot (we tried everything). I just wanted that clean clear tone that Fender instruments are known for, and these had some great reviews and a decent price. I was not disappointed - they sound great! My guitar tech was impressed, calling these "a considerable upgrade"!Now, if only these guys would make some stacked humbuckers or noiseless pickups for my Strat copy! :-)

I was looking for an affordable upgrade for my Squier P bass. I had read many reviews and decided to give Tonerider a chance. There was a very noticeable improvement in the tone of the guitar actually more than I expected at this price point. Give them a chance you won't be disappointed.
