Just charger them before the first use, connect it to your speaker and you are all set. Distance range and sound quality are very good.

The set up works great. Really nice microphones. The reason for the 2 stars is. That I have fully charged all 3 items and shelf them for a couple days and one mic is always dead when I’m ready to use. It has happened multiple times now. So more than likely one mic is bad. The rest of the product works wonderful and seems like high quality.Update. They took the time to get with me and take care of the issue. They stand behind their product 100%. Highly recommended.

I recently tested microphones from $40-$70 on Amazon. All were wireless mic pairs with a 1/4" out receiver. Tonor (three models), Bietrun, Lekato, and HWWR. All purchased myself here on Amazon to use with a "party box" style bluetooth speaker for karaoke. You never really know with the no-name brands you find on Amazon what the quality is like. Tonor really stands apart from the others by a mile. Higher quality, more thoughtful design, actual FCC IDs (so they're legit tested and legal to use). Any of the Tonor models are good. These (TW520) operate on the same frequencies as some broadcast TV channels. This is allowed by the FCC. But be mindful if you (or neighbors) are going to be watching TV nearby. Sennheiser has a "wireless frequency finder" website that can help you choose channels to minimize interference with nearby TVs. This product spans 539.5 MHz to 558.5 MHz for Mic A and 559.5 MHz to 578.5 MHz for mic B (20 channels each, 1 MHz apart). That span of frequencies across both mics covers tv channels 25 to 32 (true channels and not digital IDs). Sennheiser's website will show the available channels, frequencies, expected reception power, etc. Very helpful. Where I live there are no "available" channels in that span so I choose ones that have weaker reception where I am (for less interference with the mics) and are channels I won't be watching. The microphones use a removable 14650 lithium 3.7V battery (67mm long, 14.2mm diameter). The receiver does not have a user replaceable battery. All three are charged with 5V USB-C (the cable included can charge all there at once). The FCC ID is 2AZNY-TW520 for anyone who likes looking up all the gory details of RF modulation, bandwidth, etc. The important thing to note from this report is that it transmits at 15mW, which is well below the 50mW limit for using these frequencies unlicensed. The manual has a pairing process which I didn't need to go through as they were paired out of the box.The sensitivity is good. I don't have issues with microphone feedback and squealing when standing in front of a loud speaker. It certainly can happen if you try. But in normal usage, even quite loud, I never hear it.
