This toolbox is great for way more than just a DeWalt saw. It has a soft padded lid, a good strong handle, strong clasps, a pressure check valve, and a watertight seal. The walls are molded and super strong, as is the lid. I'm always concerned about latches lasting or breaking, and these are very nice, and are easy to open with bare hands or gloves. I didn't order it for the DeWalt saw, so I removed the foam inside to use the full capacity for snowmobile toolbox. The cut out foam it comes with is really high grade though, and looks laser cut to hold the DeWalt Saw and batteries. Overall I'm very impressed with it.

If you own the DeWALT compact reciprocating saw, this is a great storage solution. It is sturdy and well made. I particularly like the closures. The closed cell foam on the interior is pre-cut to accommodate the DCS369 saw. You only need to remove the cut-out sections. There are spaces for the saw, a charger, and two batteries. In mine, I put a 2 Ah and a 6 Ah battery, and the space where I put the 2 Ah battery has enough room to fit a larger one. There is also a space underneath the saw sits to store blades.

This is a decent case. Not quite equal to my Pelican case, but a lot cheaper in price. If you have one of the listed saw models, it will fit in this case just like the photos show. It's also not difficult to customize with your own foam. The case definitely should not be used to pound rocks into gravel, as shown in the product photo (that claim is why I took off a star). It will take a beating, but deliberate abuse like that would crack the plastic. The case also has decent seals and venting, so I believe the IP67 waterproof rating. The latches feature spring-loaded slides, which eliminates the difficult snap of opening and closing.

Got this to keep my Dewalt Reciprocating saw in when I take it to job sites. Fit is perfect and holds the saw, couple of batteries and a charger. Foam is solid and does a great job to carry your saw around.

Intro:Ok, right off the bat, I have to say that I got this case knowing it was not for the tool I intended to put in it. It looked like the shape of the DeWalt tool this case is designed to fit, might have been very similar to the M12 Hackzall which I needed a good case for. If you are thinking along those same lines, and don't mind modifying the shape of the foam a bit, then this case is a great choice. If you want a drop in fit, then you'd be better off getting new foam for the interior or something else. I intended to make this one work, especially when I laid hands on it, because this case absolutely blew me away with its construction, space, features, and usability. I was not expecting near this level of awesome when I ordered this thing. The Case:The first thing that struck me about this case, is that it is DURABLE. The interior is generously laid out for the tool in the middle, 2 spare batteries, and a charger. There is also a cavity for blade storage under the saw body. What really drew me to this case is that I can put the saw in there with the battery attached, which is very handy for multiple jobs, or preventing your saw from taking a walk on you while you go to lunch. It is made from a thick industrial type of polymer (the listing says PP shell + EPE foam). I have no doubt this thing will take some hits and keep on keeping o... (uh, doing whatever cases do). The carry handle feels tough, and is sized perfectly for my XL size meat mits. In front, under the handle, is a small, round quarter size feature, which I believe to be a pressure relief valve, in case you want to fly your favorite reciprocating saw somewhere nice for the winter. The big beefy clasps on the front of the case have an awesome feature that uses spring loaded sliding clips to hold the case closed. They are super easy to manipulate and have, so far, held the case closed for me through my testing. (Look, don't get too excited, my 'testing' consisted of me loading up the case and dropping it from waist height onto my hardwood floor). Neither the case nor the floor (or my marriage) were damaged in the drops. Around the backside is a full length hinge, made of the same beefy plastic. I was a little surprised to see that the metal hinge pins were not captured in any way. I have not had them start walking out or anything, but if they do, I'll shoot a couple of screws into the plastic to hold them in or something. The ends of the two pins (which together traverse the length of the case) are knurled, maybe to aid in retention? The product listing says the case is IP67 rated for water, and dust (IP67 = complete dust, water down to 1 meter for 30 minutes), and I suspect that would hold true. The lid gasket is a type of porous foam you see in the auto industry for some types of body component gaskets. They are usually resistant to water for a time, but not for eternal submersion. Regardless, it will absolutely suit the needs of your average contractor/handyman/DIYer/Navy Seal (of the COD/pubG flavor). I am absolutely recommending this case to everyone that isn't going to an actual warzone to build things. For DeWalt Users:The foam is well thought out, and easy to modify (which you probably won't need to do). I am sorry I cannot test the fit for you, but I am all red in my cordless tool kit, if you catch my drift. However, with that said, based on the quality of the case, and the cuts I saw in the foam, I would be very surprised if it didn't fit your needs and meet your expectations. For My M12 Modders:It really doesn't take much to get your M12 Hackzall to fit like a glove. Just grab your favorite cutting implement and plan your cuts. I am sure that if you take more than the 15 minutes it took me to cut out the excess, then your results will be amazing. I was able to fit my saw, an M12 charger, and at least 1 extra M12 battery (the big square bottom ones, but you could stuff 3 or 4 of those little ones anywhere in there). I won't win any points for making beautiful cuts, but the ol' slicer did a bang-up job for my needs. I don't know if they will be bringing one of these cases out for the M12s since they already have one for the M18 Hackzall, but I think this is totally worth it if you need a really good case for your M12 Hackzall and don't mind modding the foam. Conclusion:Whether your tools are yellow or red, this is an awesome case at an awesome price (just under $50 at the time of this review). For us 12V red folk, get the slicer sharpened up and you won't regret this case one bit. It's durable, convenient, secure, well thought out, and I love it. I will also be keeping an eye on the Lotocase brand. Their stuff seems to be pretty awesome and I plan to get more of it, which is the highest praise any reviewer can give.

This hard case is another product by Lotocase that is a great resource for storing so many types of items - the versatility and utility is top notch. The case is made from polypropylene - a very strong and durable type of plastic that is perfectly suited for storage. The case is IP (Code that indicates how well a device is protected against water and dust) rated at IPX6 - which makes it almost totally waterproof.Every part and feature of this case is well designed and manufactured - I actually have several Lotocases (see pics of 2) and are my go to storage case as they give me the flexibility to remove the molded foam and provide a totally empty case to store the tools and materials that fit my needs. The case has near perfect latches that have the right amount of gripping power - their design has a spring mechanism you push which releases a pin and makes the latch very easy to open and snap close. The hinges for the clasps, handles and top/bottom portions of the case are very strong - the barrel is thick/robust and use a metal pin (see pic). The case's handle is a nice size and feels good to the hand when carrying even when heavy.Although these cases are marketed for specific tool sets with a molded foam for protection - I removed the foam (see pics) so I can store the tools I want to keep containerized - these cases allow me to do exactly that. One additional benefit from the case design - you can stand to case vertically in the longitudinal axis and it stays flat at the 90˚ level (see pic) - other cases I have do not allow a flat bottom and they would lie at an angle with the potential of falling on its side.Overall, this case is easily a (5) star product that can be used for so many functions - it is well made and should last a lifetime. IMO, this case is being at a. reasonable price compared to similar products.
