The first time I used it the acetylene regulator caught on fire. The inside of the gauge had a small leak and the gas built up, blew off the lens cover and then ignited from the flame of the torch, apparently the solderat the end of the gauge mechanism was soldered properly. I didn't get burnt only because of wearing protective clothing. I didn't bother sending it back because it back because I don't want to take a chance with using their equipment. I have even replaced the oxygen gauge as well. So be warned.

Seems to be a good cutting torch, the hose is too short as described 15 ft isn't enough for a torch but i already knew that,the lens for the regulators pop off easily the torch is small, but cuts great picture is 1 1/5 inch steel that it had no problem cutting through,clean cut, the glasses are cheaply made but served the purpose, came in a good case I'd say it's no victor torch but great for the money especially for occasional use at home.

A friend of mine has the whole welding setup and walked me through this welding equipment and he thought it was very good. He said for someone looking to learn this is definitely a good starter set with a lot of possibilities. All of the supplies in this welding kit are well made. The gauges are pristine and the hoses are solid, add some tanks and we have a good start. Well worth it, now I can stop asking my friend to do work in my garage.

If you are looking for and are used to really nice shop quality stuff that's bought with no real concern for expense then look somewhere else. If you are like me and want something not as expensive and are satisfied to pass that stuff up to pay a little less then you'll be happy with this set. I needed this for rare to occasional use, I didn't want to spend a lot. This is perfect for me and I'm happy with it. The gauges are a little chinsy, so is the torch. Use some arrestors and it'll be fine.

All the fittings and torch are solid brass.
