I ordered the Toovem remote for my Alorair Sentinel HD55 dehumidifier. The remote I received turned out to be non compatible with my dehumidifier. I contacted Alorair and Eileen helped me find the right remote which works perfect! She was so helpful! Now I do not have to crawl under my crawlspace to check the humidity and operation of the Dehumidifier. Thanks Alorair and Eileen!

The ALORAIR Dehumidifiers are top quality industrial products. I have installed several of them for myself and for other clients. The local user interface panels on the the products are effective and some models even have a built in WiFi interface. The ALORAIR Crawl Space Dehumidifiers 120 PPD, works very well, but I needed remote access in a floor above the the dehumidifier location. The TOOVEM Remote Controller provided this remote access. It has an RJ45 connection that provides both power and data to the controller. Simply plug it into the 120 PPD and then mount the TOOVEM Remote Controller to a convenient place for reading the levels and/or to turn the 120 PPD on or off. Once installed, you may not visit the actual dehumidifier that often, but keep in mind you will still need to check the intake filter and clean it periodically. Also, depending on the climate conditions and run time, the dehumidifier can get ice build up on the intake filter, so be aware of this and check the unit during high humidity conditions. Other than those precautions, the remote controller is a very welcome companion to the ALORAIR unit.

Very easy to install, cat5 cable was well made and connected right away. I don’t understand the negative review saying it doesn’t turn the unit off. It works perfectly fine doing that. Goes on and off with the touch of a button. Overall very happy with it.

It's nice to be able to control the dehumidifier in your crawl space from your living space, and this product lets you do that, so it's useful. You can see the relative humidity and temperature both in the crawl space and at the remote, and can change the dehumidifier set-point without having to venture into the crawl space. How nice!Unfortunately, while this is functionally useful, it's very cheaply built. The plastic feels cheap, the color of it is not uniform, the display backlight bleeds through the plastic so that the entire unit glows on the wall when you're using it, and the display is very, very poor—unless you're looking at it from a very particular angle, it's basically unreadable. Mine also arrived with scratches all over the display despite the box being sealed and it otherwise appearing new.If I had kept the dehumidifier, I probably would've kept this, but everything went back to Amazon since the dehumidifier was junk. This thing's useful but quality-wise, it's probably about 3x more expensive than it should be.

I installed the controller in my closet and my dehumidifier is in my crawl space . So far works pretty good unfortunately it does not tell you if the dehumidifier is on or off!!

As easy as plugging in an internet connection of phone line.Make sure you position your dehumidifier appropriately so you don’t exceed the 25’ line on this product.I installed in a broom closet. Simple hole drilled in floor. Plugged this in to dehumidifier, now I can monitor and control it from the house. No need to climb into crawl space with this device.

I purchased this because my dehumidifier is located in a very difficult crawl space and I wanted to control it remotely. The mounting hardware doesn't include screws to mount to a wall but has nails instead. The mounting process is easy. When I connected the remote via the included cat5 cable it didn't work. I replaced the cable and the unit powered up. The screen is a bit dim. You need to be close and directly in line for the screen to be readable. It initially shows temperatures in Celsius. Will see if it lasts.
