Faux leather on top, felt-like feel on underside, just as described. Good product. Don’t worry about the complaints about smell in other reviews. There is nothing surprising or extreme about that at all. And the folds are nothing to worry about either, they are not permanent.

I purchased this to make a circular wristlet and it’s not disappoint. The fabric is soft and pliable. I was able to sew this using a leather needle on a domestic machine. I like it so much that I purchased 5 other colors.

Worked very well, nice quality. The wrinkles from shipping smoothed out after I left the material out in the sun for a while and disappeared after being stretched over the chair. Would use again.

Strong smell and has many creases from packaging. Hanging out in the sun does wonders.

I was hesitant to get this because a lot of people mentioned that it had a very strong foul odor and it needed to air out outside. It didn't have any odor at all. It was also the perfect color and style that I was looking for to upholster my dining room chairs. It's the perfect thickness to be durable, but easy to cut and work with. Overall, very happy with the product and would order more for other projects in the future.

I bought this to recover some old bar stools. First things first- it smells awful to me. That’s the reason for 4 stars because I had to deal with the awful smell. I actually left it outside for weeks before I even used it. It didn’t get rid of the smell completely, but made it more bearable. If you can get past that though, it’s pretty good stuff. Oh also once I covered my stools, I couldn’t smell the smell anymore.When I did the first stool, I didn’t think to iron it- so there is a crease through the middle of one of them (rear stool in photo) that I assumed would just work its way out over time, but it has been six months since I recovered that stool and the crease is still there. With subsequent stools, I used a Teflon pressing sheet (16x20”) and ironed it on both sides (using the cotton setting on the iron) until the creases were gone and now it looks awesome. It’s a little bit stretchy which makes it easy to work with. Overall, good stuff.

This is pretty nice fabric, all things considered. Other reviews cautioned that there's a distinct odor to the vinyl, but for the price and quality others mentioned, I was willing to try it. There IS an odor, but I hung the vinyl out on my clothesline for a day or two (no rain) and the smell dissipated. I needed to reupholster some stools for my classroom, so I was able to use 1 yard to cover all 4 stools. Very happy with how the vinyl was easy to work with. They look much better now, and I actually had a compliment from the teacher who previously used the stools before handing them down to me... she barely recognized them!

This fabric was so light weight and easy to use. Cut fantastic. Only problem is the kinks from being folded and not rolled. Great amount I could do my whole dinning set with the one piece.
