Good tortilla presses are hard to find. It is important that they press down evenly and don't break. This one broke on first try. It is a beautiful press and I was super excited because the one I have is much smaller and no longer presses evenly but unfortunately it did not meet the demands. Definitely think it is too much pressure for the handle. Maybe if the wood that presses was wider it would work but not this way.

Nice press, I always had a metal one before, this works so much better and it is beautiful. Recommend you protect it with food grade mineral oil.

I purchased this before but I lost it in a house fire. I was able to buy this again recently and actually went for the bigger size. I had the 8 inch before and it was great, but this time I went with the 10 inch. The price wasn't as high as it was when I bought it 3 years ago but the product and quality are the same. I had to assemble it but that was easy. I love making homemade tortillas and the wooden presses are better. the Metal presses tend to weaken at the joint and the handles break, but the wooden ones don't tend to do that. Plus, this is a very pretty piece of kitchenware so it's nice to display it.
