There is a certain amount of pointlessness about this cube, which as an adult I cannot get around. However, my 6 year old enjoys playing with it, and therefore it has rescued a star from the 3 I was going to award.I thought as a ‘puzzle’ cube it would be similar to a Rubix Cube - however, the smaller cubes all come apart and there’s no mechanism to twist. Yes, you can (if you’re disciplined not to cheat) use it as a puzzle cube, by twisting and rotating the design by utilising the magnets, which is quite challenging. The UV charged glow, whilst cool, is very short lived - but adds a little bit of fun to the play. All in all, my son loves them. I wish we’d been offered the chance to review more than the 2x2 cubes to give more variety, and would recommend anyone to go for the bigger sets.I cannot say they are good value for money though. £12.99 for the 8 cube (2x2x2) set is a little on the pricey side.

Although the concept behind the design and implementation is great, the practicality isn't great, especially when you receive 8 tiny pieces. My kid was bored within the first five minutes. The product description gives an impression of at least 27 pieces (9x9) and the picture of the actual box is moved away to make you feel that there are more cubes, which I found a bit deceptive. The package contains 8 small cubes (see a penny for comparison) and a UV LED light, that's it. it does not have 72 magnets .Although the quality is very good. However, with just 8 pieces, I couldn't keep my kid interested for more than five minutes. To take the full benefits, you will need to purchase at least three of these, which makes it very expensive.Based on my experience, I was disappointed at least.

These are fun and I definitely enjoy messing with them. The box included an idea book or guide which has been helpful for inspiration. They are well made and clearly durable. My largest negative is the cost. I feel for the value and entertainment they provide they are incredibly overpriced. I think selling them in a pair is part of what makes the price point so unattractive to me. There are other desk toy that are comparable for lower price points. The fun factor of this toy isn't hard to see or find but the price is pretty high.

Originally I had gotten these for my office. I'm a systems administrator and work with lots of developers and engineers. Ive found that if I leave things like these on my desk someone will undoubtably swing by my office and Ill find something unique has been done with the various fidget toys. Also, they're good to keep your hands busy so there's that. However, what has happened is one of the two sets made it to my office and the other set has stayed behind at my home for my kids to play with. Initially 1 set went to my son and 1 went to my daughter but it only took a day or so before I found that neither were paying much attention to them. These have become a bit what I expected and not a regular toy, but a fidget toy. IE, they keep your hands busy but nothing I expect my kids to spend hours on.Play time:Both my kids really liked these out of the box. The instruction manual is very thick and provides a lot of ideas for things to build. My daughter went right to building a sword which is now sitting on her toy chest. Meaning, she's not playing with it. My son built the largest Rubiks cube type thing he could and it went to the computer room where he fidget'd with it on and off in between gaming sessions. Thats actually also where my wife and I would fidget with it as well, at least until I took it to work.Final thoughts:My daughter (6) really likes these and wanted more, and my wife was going to get them for her until she noticed the price. We received these as part of the Vine program for free and honestly, I would have no issue buying more of these, if they weren't so expensive. These are cool but hard to recommend at the price.

Tiny!!! My fault I guess for not reading the description better. I thought it would be at least the size of a Rubix cube. My 8yo worked hard to earn money for this and we were both flabbergasted at how tiny it is. This was $16 with tax! Completely and utterly ridiculous. This should be a $5 item MAX! Do yourself a favor and get something similar off Temu. You can get a similar item with 40 blocks for $13 there.

Bought this toy for my boy and he’s been playing with it all night. He says he loves that they’re individual cubes that “stick together”, so he can assembly them and build whatever he pleases. The magnetic corners of each cube attach to another cube well. I didn’t realized that it glows in the dark until my boy screamed about it in excitement. I will definitely be buying a few more sets for him to build more. Very happy with this purchase.

This is my second magnets pack i bought from Tosy (because one pack is never enough for my kid haha), and I never regret buying it. My boy is really into this kind of toys, he can create many things he wants and he plays it everyday, the heart he made to thank me for buying this for him say it all!

The funniest toy ever. I need to wait about 1 month after buying this toy for my kids to write an honest review about it. They love love this Tosy magnet cube, play creatily all days long and make many fun shapes. They ask me to order some mores to make more shapes they want to. Highly recommended.

I love this set. The blocks themselves are pretty much amazing. and it includes a UV light which is super cool...as it creates this very unique effect where when you shine it on the blocks...they then sortof glow....for a few minutes or so...wherever you had pinpointed the shining of the light. It is very cool, but also a bit strange, but cool. But the downside...is this is achieved with a little UV light, and the box has a warning about risk to skin + eyes via the UV light. So I am not sure what wavelength it is but UV 254 can damage skin + eyes. Perhaps it is UV 222 which is much more mild, but even that can potentially bother some peoples eyes, esp if shining it up close or prolonged. It says do not look directly into the light, and has a warning on the box...so not thrilled that kids might be shining it in thier eyes and stuff. But...the effect is super cool ,and its probably not the most damaging type of UV light, I doubt.Overall: This set gets you essentially a 4x4 square, with different colors on each square. So if you ever wanted to try to learn how a rubiks cube works...this can help you finally figure that out. So interesting. and the magnets are really, really well done too. With the perfect push/pull that is satisfying to push and pull them apart, but keeps them together otherwise, while not being too difficult to maneuver. So will be fine for kids over say...6 years old I would imagine. This also makes me want to get another set, so I can get a 9 x9 like an actual Rubiks cube, but....I am super happy with this 4x4 + UV light set. Kids will likely be fascinated by this set...and even some adults as it can also make a great fidget toy as well. Awesome.

They’re easy to stack, build, and create endless structures, keeping little hands busy for hours. Kids love them so much that they end up fighting over who gets to build next. If you want peace in your house, do yourself a favor and buy multiple sets—trust me, you’ll thank yourself later!
