About this item

  • PREMIUM MARINE GRADE TEAK OIL: Penetrates deeply to prevent the oxidation, moisture and sun exposure that turn bare clean teak from golden to gray; enhances teak's natural color, beauty, and depth of grain, without turning wood orange or black
  • WOOD PRESERVER FOR BOATS: Besides enhancing the natural golden color of teak, this premium teak oil also protects tropical or oily hardwoods like mahogany, ipe and acacia; use on trim, flagpoles, molding, hatches, rails, swim platforms, steps and decks
  • PROTECTIVE WOOD OIL FOR FURNITURE: Preserve and protect indoor and outdoor teak furniture with this golden oil finish; use on teak pool & patio furniture, chairs, picnic tables, gazebos, garden benches, shower seats, desks, chests & more
  • EASY WIPE-ON FORMULA DRIES FAST: Simply brush on or apply with a cloth; let oil penetrate wood for 20-30 minutes before wiping excess; to restore heavily weathered wood, apply additional coats until wood stops absorbing oil; wait 8-12 hours between coats
  • SIZE: 1 QUART. COVERAGE: 200-250 sq ft/gal (1st coat): 300-400 sq ft/gal (2nd coat); BARE WOOD: Apply 2 coats; MAINTENANCE: Apply 1-2 coats; if teak is gray and weathered, first, clean and restore the golden color with TotalBoat Teak Cleaner

It's no surprise that the exterior teak wood trim on a boat leads a hard life at sea, but same goes for exterior teak furniture, which can lead an equally hard life exposed to the elements right in your own backyard. These harsh elements conspire to weather teak's beautiful, golden tone to a dull, mottled gray. Use TotalBoat Teak Oil to seal, preserve, and protect the natural color and beauty of clean, bare teak. This golden teak oil finish is also ideal for use on other tropical or oily hardwoods such as acacia, bamboo, cedar, cypress, ipe, mahogany, maple, oak, pine, poplar, red oak, rosewood and walnut.
Whether on your boat, above the waterline, or around your home, this versatile wood oil is ideal for interior and exterior wood surfaces. Boat applications include decking, flagpoles, handrails, molding, mounting brackets, storage racks and swim platforms. And while it was originally formulated to be the best value in marine teak oil, it's not just for boats - it's also ideal for maintaining the beauty and durability of your outdoor teak pool and patio furniture, including benches, chairs, and tables, without turning the wood orange or black. You can also get excellent results on indoor furniture, including chairs, danish furniture, dining tables, gun stocks, kitchen cabinets, tables, desks, doors, and more.
Easy to apply - just brush or wipe on with a clean cloth. After 20 to 30 minutes, wipe off excess. Two coats may be applied, allow 8-12 hours drying time between coats. Clean up with mineral spirits. NOTE: If your teak is gray or faded, before using TotalBoat Teak Oil, clean the teak with our TotalBoat Teak Cleaner to restore the natural golden color of the teak. Compare to other teak wood oil products such as Starbrite Teak Oil, Minwax Teak Oil, Rust-Oleum Watco Teak Oil Finish, AquaTeak Premium Teak Oil and Howard Sunshield. 100% Made in the USA.

In late October, I built a Red Cedar live edge slab bar top for my enclosed back porch. The porch is covered & screened but the bar will see a lot of year round SW Florida sun and rain during our 6 month summertime rainy season. I wanted a no film, easy to refresh in place finish w/o sanding, stripping etc. Prior to install I opted for StarBrite Marine Grade Teak Oil as it advertised "no darkening tint added to wood". Applied several coats (5) to all sides and finished the job & mounted the top in place. Now is not our rainy season and the bar only got wet a small # of times after 2 months or so I noticed it starting to look a bit dull and I was thinking about a recoat and decided to give TotalBoat a try. Minimum darkening tint though slightly noticeable and a nicer sheen than the StarBrite left. I posted pics of both SB on left, & after 24 hours and 3 coats of TB on right. All that`s left to see now is it holds up.

I used this on an old boat. A little sanding and a couple of coats and the wood looks great. A little goes a long way and a sponge type paint brush did great for me.

This product was easy to use, but there are hazards involved so be cautious. It looks beautiful.

We got this for a new Teak table we purchased. The table didn't have too much coating, so wanted something to add some extra without changing the color/tone. After 6 months or so it still looks great, and more importantly stains, and spills clean up pretty easily. Would recommmend
