This 2 in 1 product was great for travel. It provided just support for walking on different terrains -- smooth streets, cobble stones, dirt , dirt roads, and rocky paths. The seat came in handy because sitting on the ground was a far way down from standing

This is built for light weight over brute strength and it is perfect. I'm a 180 lbs and it feels very sturdy. It's a nice piece.

I bought 2 for hiking and we use them almost daily. They work great. Highly recommend.

I bought this for an upcoming vacation during which I anticipated activities that involved more walking and standing than I can normally tolerate. I tried a couple of these "seat-sticks" and this one is the only one that really worked for me. Although it is a tiny bit heavier and not-as-easily collapsible as others, it feels sturdier and is definitely more comfortable than other similar items. Whereas others have criticized this item for being "cheaply made" and other similar comments, I did not find that to be the case.I really liked two things about this item: 1) The fact that the seat area is like a saddle, made of leather and flexible. This made it way more comfortable to use than other similar items. 2) I also liked the fact that, when the seat is folded up, you can use it as a cane or sort of walking stick: The top becomes a sort of handle.I would definitely recommend this for anyone who (like me) has trouble walking long distances or standing for long periods of time.

Once you get it adjusted for height properly this is a sturdy reliable seat cane. Initially it shifted in place a little but lining up the screw better took care of that and its very solid. I got rubber post for end. Very happy with it. Useful.

Got this for use in guided tours where I might want to sit while the tour guide yammers. Also ordered PaceMaker Stix pair of extended life rubber tips - which fit perfectly over the spike so I can use it indoors as I need to.This has a lot of metal in it, but isn't well machined. Adjustable length with holes for the screw tightener, but couldn't figure out how to be sure you're at a hole. Maybe not a problem as the screw seems to be sufficient. Seat is too small, but adequate for what my needs are.Comes apart in two sections which fit easily in a standard size piece of luggage which is nice. Can't speak to the durability yet.

Thinner seat than I expected but works quite well.

There are grinder marks on the metal like it was left out in the rain and rusted and they had to clean it up with in the first 10 feet the top came off so I drilled it out and added a bolt to hole the top together and then the leather started failing within a week so I had to replace it just waiting for the next thing to go wrong. Great idea poorly executed but with some backyard engineering it fits its purpose.

First, I always use a walking cane every place except flat areas. Second, I weigh about 50 lbs. more than the recommended 200 lbs. We just returned from 10 days in Europe. Anyone who has been to the small towns in Europe know they are anything but level. I used this device very successfully as a cane. I also used it repeatedly as a seat while my wife shopped. With one exception, I always tried to keep the shaft perpendicular to the ground so that the weight was concentrated straight down. On one or two occasions the shaft was not perpendicular and the top part bent. It can probably be straightened so I can continue to use.Would I buy another one? I would look for one designed to hold more weight, If I couldn't find one I would definitely buy this again. It is very well built: solid and sturdy. The company would benefit by realizing that "heavy" people need the same kind of aids as all other people.

I attend horse shows, some of which take place all day across miles and miles of fields (Eventing). I needed something lightweight to carry, but also comfortable, to give my feet a rest. I purchased this item based on the reviews. Arrived quickly with Amazon Prime free 2 day shipping. The only recommendation I would make for this product is some sort of strap to carry it around your shoulder. I attached a clip on luggage strap, which did the trick. The seat is comfortable, I sat on it both sideways (like a regular seat), and length ways (sort of bicycle seat style), it was sturdy either way. I liked how the seat rotated, allowing me to spin around as I was seated to turn around to catch horses coming in the opposite direction, or to speak with someone behind me. Seat is sturdy, chrome/steel shaft collapsed easily when transporting it, held strongly when in use. Folded up easily, I used it as a walking stick while crossing the horse fields. Very pleased, may purchase one for my husband for our future outings hiking in the woods, or at horse shows.
