Needed a built up pad for my horse while we work on him building more muscle and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for one to be use for such a short time. Found this one and am pleasantly surprised on how nice it is and how well made. It works great and exactly what I need for him.

My QH gelding is basically round in the withers. I had a half-QH bars saddle that had been pinching his shoulders and giving him sores. Started by buying a new saddle with full-QH bars (in the market for a new saddle anyway, don't worry), but the saddle was still rolling around on him and his back was still dry in places where it should have been wet.Then I saw this pad with the pouches for shims in three places. This thing is *miraculous*. I took out the back most shims and left the first two sets, based on how my saddle had been fitting. Tossed the saddle up, cinched down, and the thing didn't slip around on him pretty much at all! There's now wet on his back in all the places he should be wet! Bonus, it's nice and thick, well constructed, and even nice looking.If you have an ill-fitting saddle, I would totally recommend trying this pad first. It's been a huge game changer for me and my gelding.
