I decided to add these gloves to my kitchen cutlery kit because I often take on the responsibility of carving and storing raw meat, as well as cutting cooked meat. Given that I’m on medication that causes hand tremors, I have genuine concerns about the possibility of cutting myself while handling sharp knives. These gloves have proven to meet my needs exceptionally well. The gloves look exactly as depicted in the product images, which was reassuring. I chose a large size, a typical fit for me, and I was pleased to find that they fit perfectly. They provide a snug yet comfortable fit, ensuring that there isn’t any excess material flapping around, which would be distracting and potentially dangerous while performing precise cutting tasks. To evaluate their performance, I conducted a simple yet effective test. I placed several hot dogs in the finger sections of the gloves and then used one of my sharpest knives to attempt cutting through the glove. I was impressed to find that there was no damage to the glove itself, nor was there any harm to the hot dogs inside. Although I’m not yet comfortable enough to perform tasks with the gloves on my hands, I have no doubt about their protective capabilities. While it’s possible to stab through the gloves, they provide excellent protection against accidental cuts, making them a crucial piece of safety equipment in my kitchen arsenal. I am confident in my decision to purchase these gloves, and considering the competitive price point, I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone seeking reliable and effective hand protection while handling sharp tools in the kitchen.

One thing to be clear on: I did not test the cut resistance properties of these gloves ... on purpose or otherwise. :-) I will take the company's word on their rating, and I see another reviewer used a carrot as a stand-in for a finger, and the glove did well.I got a size Large, whereas I usually wear an XL. They fit a little snugly but not uncomfortably so. Dexterity was good overall. Light padding in the palm. Neither excessively slippery nor overly grippy. Breathable. The length of the fingers was just about perfect for me ... little to no extra material at the ends of my fingers, and the base of the finger wasn't halfway to my first joint, if that makes sense. In all, I felt I could wear then for an extended period of time and not suffer from hand fatigue from overcompression.

These are very durable and thick no cut gloves. I use them with my super sharp mandoline and they work well to protect my hands. I would recommend this product.

Got these gloves to make it easier to handle meat/vegetables while cutting (not raw, but cooked). I think they are generally fine for the cost and hand protection from cuts (I occasionally catch myself like when I was testing these out). Where I am a little disappointed (and reason for 4 stars) is that I was trying to cut an onion straight from the grill and the wet heat immediately permeated the glove and trapped the heat, making it almost more likely to get burned. So, definitely not good for heat protection! But, yes, when I caught myself (lightly) during cutting, the glove did stop that so I didn't get any cut on my finger. They are also tactile enough due to not being too thick or inflexbile, so the L fit was good for my hands; and, since I could still work dextrously with the gloves on, the functionality is there.

These are pretty good gloves to have in the kitchen. They're thick and tough enough to deter errant knife and peeler slices. It's not going to keep out cleavers or anything major, but they will help prevent minor nix and cuts from chopping and slicing.

I picked up a pair of these cut-resistant gloves mainly for kitchen use especially when slicing large cuts of meat or using a mandoline and they’ve quickly become an essential part of my setup. The Level D cut protection gives me peace of mind, especially when handling slippery or tough ingredients. The fit is surprisingly comfortable. They’re snug without being tight, and I still have good control over my hands and fingers. I don’t feel clumsy using knives or peelers while wearing them, which hasn’t been the case with other bulky safety gloves I’ve tried.I also love that they’re food-safe and machine-washable. I’ve washed them a few times now, and they come out looking and performing just like new no stretching, no loss of protection.I ended up buying a second pair for use in the garage while working with sheet metal and other sharp tools. They’re lightweight, tough, and versatile, making them great for everything from meal prep to weekend projects. If you’re looking for reliable cut protection that doesn’t sacrifice comfort, these gloves are worth it whether you’re a chef, DIYer, or just want to avoid accidents while cooking.

I’ve had a lot of cut resistant gloves over the years, and these are quite good. While this one also has some stitching at the thumb joint, it’s not super messy and wiry and hence a cut risk. These are fairly comfortable and fit perfectly. I don’t really know about the cut resistance bc I’m not intentionally gonna try cutting my fingers off, but when I’ve been testing them out, my fingers certainly haven’t been cut so far.I’d still be careful with this type of glove period as cut resistant is not the same as cut proof.Anyway, I would definitely recommend this specific glove bc they really are top 3 cut resistant gloves I’ve had over the past years. And I’ve gone through 10+ cut resistant gloves. Either for kitchen or workshop purposes…
