These are very lightweight and thin. They have a fabric side and an vinyl side. Good at protecting from spills but not so much for absorbing a lot of drool. I don't think I would embroider them, but I could see them used at baby showers as a fun gift / group activity where you are given permanent markers to design a bib or message for the the new baby, they would work great for that. They strike me as cheap, almost disposable, even though they are reusable. I probably wouldn't choose them unless for that specific purpose of decorating them for a baby shower game.

I recently hosted a babyshower and we used these bibs for a decorating babyshower activity. The bibs are on the thinner side and not the best of quality, but everyone still had a fun time decorating them.
