I purchased a Tourbon leather toe pad from Amazon in 2017, It continues to serve me well with continuous use twice a week all year round in Indiana. I wanted another one to put on another pair of shoes so I wouldn't forget to switch the pad when alternating shoes. I didn't really want to buy two new pads but the price was fair for the pair and I like the new pad version with the barrel post. I figured I would give the second pad to my son-in-law who shoots. My only surprise was the color. The new leather is very light brown and, in my opinion, sticks out too much visually. The dark leather of the old pad better complements the dark leather of my shooting winter boots and summer shoes. The picture of the product on Amazon shows a darker pad. Oh well, I will still use it and give the other one to my son-in-law. Functionally, it is fine and will likely last many years - and maybe even darken up with age. I may use dark shoe polish on it ....

works well, But i would still prefer a pad on the ground. Don't like the metal to metal contact with the muzzle.

I was looking for a toe rest that would support my shotgun barrel without causing any discomfort to my foot. This one is just rigid enough to distribute the weight of the shotgun - no discomfort! - very pleased with its appearance and function.
