Beautiful craftsmanship and it fits great. However the belt retention is way to low and when you try to use it with one hand the whole thing comes off with the light or multi tool. And yes I know leather breaks in but even then it will come off. So instead of a belt clip that you would find on a tape measure maybe using a clip that actually closes all the way around the belt or just a leather loop to prevent it from coming off the belt at all

I shopped around a couple months looking for a sheath for my Leatherman Surge, I settled on this one because i liked the decorative tooling, it had space to store everything i needed, it had a belt clip instead of loops, and the price was right. So far i haven't had any issues with the belt clip being too loose, it feels secure on my thin webbing belt and my thicker gun belt. The elastic loop feels strong and durable for what it is, no issues with the stitching either. I've only had it for a couple days so i may update this review in the future. The one complaint or note i have, for those who are looking to use a large multi-tool such as the Surge with this sheath is it comes extremely tight, to the point that Ive had to use a hammer to knock it out of the sheath once fully seated. (which was no easy task in of itself) I'm sure it will stretch eventually to make things easier but honestly you may just want to trim some excess leather from the inside to help it fit (or consider purchasing another sheath) because even after two days of purposefully trying to break it in its still too tight to comfortably take it in and out of the sheath while its on my hip. I've had to take the sheath off of my belt to force the tool out using both hands consistently, applying enough force to worry that i may damage the sheaths stitching by repeatably doing this. Just something to keep in mind if you're buying this sheath to hold a large tool. The surge just barely fits, even fully seated i have to apply downward force on the flap to get the button to snap closed. if my multi-tool was even one millimeter taller it would be unable to snap closed at all.

Great craftsmanship. Great thick leather. Great stitching. Holds my gerber suspension multi tool perfectly and my wuben L50 edc 1200 lumen flashlight. Belt clip seems great I wear a thick leather gun belt and it fits snug on there with no problems I would highly recommend this product.

I like the small design because I were it for work and I have the ability to remove quickly from my belt. The quality seems to hold up so far. At first it was tight for my multitool and stream light. But once they stretch it fit in better and it wasn’t tough to remove anymore. With that being said it does stretch, so far my stream light hasn’t fell out. And I hope it never does. Comfort you don’t really notice it which I do like. The snap for the multitool holder seems to be holding up quite nicely and I use it quite often. So it functions as it should. The price was good for this product.

The craftsmanship of the leather is excellent, and it fits my multitool, flashlight, and pen wellUnfortunately, by trying to make it so the belt loop/clip could work in multiple ways, they substantially reduced the durability of the product. Making it so that you can run a belt through vertically or horizontally gives them only a little bit of material to work with at the corners of the belt loop. Even just getting in and out of vehicles, it can get caught on things and rip one of the corners free. You can get a leather crafting kit and repair it (I did) but a multitool holster should last more than three months before needing repair, especially when being used by a desk jockey whose job no longer entails crawling around in adverse environments. Not to mention the useless metal clip that won't hold the holster onto much of anything for any length of time and mostly just gets in the way.Tourbon - if two of the sides of the belt loop were sewn down all the way, so you could only pass a belt through horizontally, this would be a 4 star product. Get rid of the silly metal clip, and it's a 5 star one. Trying to make this do the job of three separate products is holding it back, especially since the metal clip you picked is perhaps the worst one I've ever seen on a tool holster.

I do irrigation work and am digging and working in trenches and muddy holes almost everyday. I've been using this holster for 6 months in pretty rough conditions with no complaints. Clip on the back is sturdy and never falls off when kneeling granted I'm 155lb and 6ft so not a big guy. Leather is high quality and the stitching is sturdy and tuff. Would definitely buy again just wish they had different options on the leather stamping and style. I love this holster and wear it everyday. No matter work or play

So the sheath is poorly thought out and it didn’t even last a week without issues. I’m right handed so it would be nice to have the flash light holder on the other side since I carry it on my right hip. Also the metal clip I had to remove because it was just a pain, It would be better if they just lift it off with just the belt loop and got rid of the metal clip altogether. Last thing on the tool side is that my tool started to fall though so I had to put a sting in the middle, wish they didn’t put such a big hole on the bottom. Hope this helps.

Works well, good leather work. Two dislikes:1. The metal belt clip slides right up and off the belt when I bump anything. I work on a ship, so I bump stuff all the time. A wide leather loop would be a significant upgrade, and keep my tools from bouncing down ladderwells.2. Personal preference: I will never use the pen holder, because those stretch fabrics tend to last a year or less, and then look weird and all stretched out. I think that was an odd addition to long lasting, quality leather work.If TOURBON made the exact product, with a leather loop and no pen holder, I would give it five stars and gladly pay double the price or more.
