Worked great. My daughter moved for a couple months and left her car behind. I was able to hook up this to the battery a day before she came home and it was fully charged and ready for her to drive when she got home.

Strong and powerful. Charges deeply charged car batteries. Adjusts to different voltages, amps and different types of batteries. Even has a conditioning switch and demolsiving (spelling) switch. Once charge is met it turns off. If battery falls below charge it comes back on.

Love it. Can be used as a battery charger and also has a trickle charger option.

Good quality at a reasonable price. I like that it is a maintainer and charger. Works well for occasional charging for homeowners.

I purchased this mid October 2023. Review is almost one year of use, now end of August 2024. I use this to trickle charge the battery on a 25+ year old vehicle that loses electricity sitting in the driveway, because I hardly ever drive it. I use this device to make sure it is topped off every couple of weeks. If I drove my car daily, or at least once per week, I would not need the trickle charger. Before I purchased this conditioner, I had left my car unattended for a couple of months. Saw it on Amazon and thought I'd give it a try before having to buy a brand new battery for my old car. This device at first indicated that my car battery was unable to charge as a 12 volt car battery. Luckily this battery charger was able to step down and charge it as if it was a motorcycle battery. I thought I'd try that and get some juice into, before opting to buy a replacement battery. After a day of recharging from the lowest setting, I was able to recondition the old car battery back to life, restart the car, and be able to drive more than 100 miles on the recharged battery. Now I use it often to make sure my unused car keeps it's charge when I'm not driving it. I just wish that the unit had a physical on off toggle switch. Instead the on off of the device is by plugging it into the outlet. It's recommended to be used directly into a wall outlet and not into a strip surge protector. I use a heavy duty 10 gauge extension cable and a GFCI adapter that has an on off physical switch on the GFCI outlet for extra protection. The other thing that you have to be careful with this charger is using it when the weather is bad. Make sure you do not use this when it is raining. This trickle charger is a slow charger, which I like. It may take awhile for it to charge up the battery, maybe a few hours, depending on how depleted your vehicle battery is. I tend to not wait for the charger to reach full capacity of the battery. I charge it to 3/4 of fullness to make the battery last longer. YMMV. Overall, this battery conditioner has been a life saver.

I'm sorta old school when it comes to battery chargers but I thought I'd give this fancy dohickey a try.I can say that I'm very impressed with it especially for it's small size and weight.Pretty simple, just set the voltage between 6 and 12 volt and let it do it's job. With 2 boats, one old tractor and 3 cars this charger will get a good workout.I think you'll like it.

I have a brand new H8 AGM that went low at -40. My 30+ year old charger just didn't work for it.This restored the battery to full charge in short order once I figured out how to swap it from 6 to 12 volts. Funny how after reading the manual things are not as clear outside in the dark with a flashlight at -20 trying to get it working. The plastic construction seems a bit fragile and might not stand up to rough treatment. My real concern is the manual says the working temperature is from 0 to 40 DegC. Well, I will probably never need it above 0 DegC. I used it at -20 and it worked fine, but the plastic construction might not like to be stored in the cold. I will store it inside in a warm atmosphere instead of the garage.Would be nice if the ad mentioned the temperature range and if it just should be stored in a warm place so it is warm when you start it or if it should never be used below freezing... that is a consideration for most of us.

WTF? If your car battery is dead, this device refuses to operate. (and if my battery is not dead, I don't need a battery charger.) Total waste of money -- stay away. The only way I could charge my dead car battery with this piece of Chinese junk was to get a 6V lantern battery and clip lead it in parallel with my car battery. Then, finally, this device detected a voltage and became operational. Of course it incorrectly assumed I wanted to charge a 6V Calcium battery (whatever that is.) But at least it started charging. Then the lantern battery got super hot, the outer casing turned brown and started bubbling and emitting smoke from the + terminal. By this time the clip leads were too hot for me to disconnect them. After a few more minutes, the lantern cell began spitting caustic battery acid on my hand!I now have a hacking cough and my right middle finger is bright red and won't extend. Lawsuit incoming.

I wrote very negative review on this product and submitted it several hours before I got to realize that the real fault was with my old battery tester. I cannot cancel review in flight, but I took it down as soon as I could when it went live. This new update is to balance the wrong claim I made about product being defective. It turns out my old battery tested would severely overestimate the remaining change, so I had entirely unrealistic expectations on how long should it take for the charge to complete. I got a new tester that did show my 94Ah battery at ~30% charge, and thus it required about 60Mah to be completely charged. Lo and behold, the time this charger then took to replenish the battery at 15A was about 5 hours, extra time being spend in slow start and absorption stages, where the charger runs at lower amperage. The math holds and the product does work fine.I still deduct one point on easy to use and versatility because of somewhat confusing progress display on LCD - the percentage it displays does not seem to be based on actual battery charge level, but indicates the charging stage - bulk charging is hanging at 50% right until charger, absorption is 75%, and so on. This did contribute to my earlier confusion.

This is a really great Smart Battery Charger. I wanted an electronic copy of the manual (in addition to the manual that came in the box) and after sending a quick email to TowerTop, their Customer Service team responded by sending me the pdf version of the manual within hours of my email.
