The car runs very well only on a smooth floor. It does not go at all on carpet or any surface with a texture. It is very cute and colorful. The plastic feels hard and cheap. It looks like it will crack when it gets thrown and all the children I have ever known will throw and drop toys. I think this toy is overpriced since it will not work at all in some houses with only carpet. The description fails to warn people that it will not work on carpet. It looks like a $5.00 toy not $15.00
