We purchased 5 “curtain/tarps” to wrap our patio that we had rebuilt last year. We are in Nebraska, and the way our house faces, all of our heat escapes through the patio door. This was the BEST idea we’ve had, to cut down on the winter western and northern winds, that were sucking all of the heat out of the house, as we getting our three dogs in and out multiple times. Now we feel only ambient temperatures, a little breeze (versus wind) and minimal snow or rain.The curtains/tarps are outstanding so far. We installed them using corded bungee balls (12’) to avoid nails or hooks in our beautiful new wood. It took my husband and myself about 3 hours to install all 5 tarps - top and 4 sides) initially, then a couple more hours to complete, getting it stretched tight over the next couple days. Stretching went very well, even though it was about 40 degrees, the tarps are clear plastic/tarp, are a little stiff, but well made and not difficult to manage.We ordered 12” corded bungee balls to secure the tarps using the grommets that we ordered on all sides. The bungee ball cords can be hooked together to double length or tied to make shorter. Great for providing easily adjustable tension.On the stair side, we had a zipper installed, to allow for our dogs to access their ramp, and us to easily access the back yard. We have a bungee to tether the ramp corner “up” to allow the dogs to access their ramp, or when the wind is wicked, tethered closed, and then we are all wind protected.This will be our first winter with the patio enclosed, and so far we are pleased with the quality of the wrap and the protection from and wind and elements. We did speak with an AKON via phone and email to verify all of the measurements a final time before production, May was great to work with.Overall we are very happy with the tarps/curtains. We only plan to use them during the winter to give us a nice wind and snow barrier and would highly recommend.

This is an excellent company with very great communication responses. My ordered tarp arrived on a timely basis. I was impressed with the product. It is ALWAYS great when something arrives BETTER than expected!! What a happy thing that is!!! The vinyl is very thick and heavy and perfectly clear. The measurements and cutting were right on, exact and true. The zipper is of high quality. The grommets of high quality, correctly spaced and installed. After installation it is very impressive! I now have a full, clear, window wall at a fractrion of the price for glass windows! Well worth the price and savings. GO FOR IT!!!!!

We ordered the vinyl tarps to cover our screened porch so we can use it in winter/bad weather. We have a gas wood stove 40k btu and these tarps raise the temp by 30 degrees. Last weekend 26-30 degrees at night and 65 on the porch with gas wood stove. Picture 1 is the outside (rough hang) picture 2 is how clear they are from the inside. Amazing clarityThe traps are well made very sturdy (we got the standard thickness). A couple things to note: we ordered the triangle tops from Akon directly. They are very helpful very responsive and fast shipping. We ordered the squares from Amazon - the Amazon order took nearly a month to arrive.Fasteners: if you’re doing a project like mine fasteners are a bit of an issue. We ended up just using finishing nails so we can turn them and loosen the tarps in spring/summer to take them down. Overall great product

I live in an extremely windy area and wanted to enclose my back deck to create a large outdoor seating area that we can enjoy over the winter. I have attempted to do this for many years, wasting money on many different tarps and plastic that were destroyed immediately by the wind and winter weather. I purchased and installed 3 of these large tarps under my deck. I knew immediately by the quality of these tarps that they would definitely last longer than any other I had purchased. They are extremely heavy and easy to install. My first true test was 70 mph winds that hit the weather side of my house and THEY DIDN’T BUDGE! We enclosed the roof, placed a small heater out there and can enjoy even the worst of weather! Their customer service worked diligently with my design to create 3 tarps that fit perfectly in the area I wished to enclose. Quality, heavy zipper! Although the price may seem expensive, the cost far outweighs the money I’ve wasted on other junk and I’m quite sure I will have these for many years to come! I LOVE AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE!

Received these. And was happy until installation hard a rectangle project top was cut and sewed longer than bottom by 3 inches of course I used them as throw away probably 2year ? But the price is right as Bob Barker would day.😜

These will only hold up well in a wind protected area. We had to secure them in the middle even with weight in the bottom bcuz on windy days they would fly straight out which obviously doesn't work if you are trying to utilize the space. Over the summer the seam started ripping near where they were secured. By end of summer there was a 2-3' rip down the side. We wanted for them to work. But clearly they weren't designed with our wind in mind

I ended up ordering three of these clear tarps when all was said and done. We have an outdoor patio area under our main floor balcony/deck, we spend a lot of time down there now that it is winter since it is covered and we live in the PNW. We ordered (3) different custom sizes at three different times and each was exactly perfect and does the intended job of keeping out the wind and rain where we hang out.They are a solid quality, the customizations are perfect and we anticipate they will last at least several years with good care, making them a solid purchase for the price.I highly recommend this product. The service was excellent and the product is exactly what we had hoped for.
